View Full Version : Factory head unit Removal? PLEASE HELP.

how do i remove my factory head unit?
i see the tabs but am not sure of what to stick into the holes, or what to do exactly..
any help is greatly appreciated!

Once you remove the screw covers, you will need to use the proper allen wrench. Turn the screw out until they stop. (they will not come all the way out) Once you slide the radio out, release the connector with the release lever. Do not pry the connector out or you will break it.

but what covers?
the only ones i know of are the little flaps that open to uncover a hole..
please help.

There is no release lever ...as 12v said ....use an allen wrench.

ok.
thanks for al of your help.
so i got everyhting undone and a new head unit installed but i think i blew a fuse or shorted something out because there is no power coming from the power wire to turn on the new unit.
the radio fuse is not blown either.
is there another fuse box?
or what could be wrong?
please help guys.

ok forget about that^ lol.
i just found a blown fuse under the back seat and replaced it, and everyhting turns on.
but now the only problem is that the speakers do not work.
please help.
