blue/white wire. nearly as common a question as 'what speaker sizes are they'. you need to hook up the remote wire....

No sound at all?
Did you also install subs/amp?
Does the CD player turn on? And you just get no sound?

and you didn't come up with anything in this forum searching for blue/white wire or remote wire? strange, as it's been discussed so much....

Are the speakers in your car (currently) powered by an amp?

Ok...then I would focus on post #2.

Sounds like your stereo is not "telling" the factory amp to turn on.

I want to say that on the FACTORY side, the amp turn on is WHITE. All white. I was just messing with it today. But I'm not positive. But it could also be different for you because I have a 99 328is.

If the amp is only driving the sub - leave the factory amp to drive all the other speakers.

Blue White in the Bimmer is NOT the remote wire!!!! like i said, it is the solid white wire. Pin 16. LOOK AT THIS DIAGRAM. The speaker wire colors are not proper for the HK system, but everything else is proper.
