I am interested in buying supersprint 784302 decat pipe:

but, some people tell me that decating results in loose low-end torque and that engine is litle nervous. is this thrue? what you think about decat?

I have this front exhaust without a catalytic converter and didnt loose torque at low rpms.

engine run normaly, idle at 750/min...? how is sound after installing decat? maybe some pictures or movie with sound is welcome.

idle didn't change, it stayed at ~800 RPM, now at ~1000 RPM, but it is caused by my tuning and the turbocharger installation. dont have sound movies. it was 100% plug and play assembly. if you want I can take a pic of installed supersprint's front exhaust in my car.

The S50B30, ie the 3.0 euro M3 had the 02 sensors in the cat section.

I have two SS resonators in my shop, each has the bungs for the 02 sensors in case they're used with 3.0 engined cars. One has the older style crossover built in, one doesn't. (***)

The S50B32 had the bungs on the headers, so, SS kindly sends the pipes out with plugs in them.

***Please do not email me with offers to buy one or the other. Until I've been to the dyno to see which out-performs the other on my engine, neither is for sale. I expressly bought each of them to test the difference, and despite my true and unabiding love of everyone on the board here, I'm not rushing to the dyno to free one up quite yet. I'm just trying to ward off the diversion of the thread in that direction, and, let people know that in the used market, they may find either version. From the looks of the photo, if that reflects current stock, they're putting the crossover back in.

I have the SS resonator and it does not affect idle. The exhaust is more noisy with it (more gurgly, burpy, spitty, etc) but overall volume is about the same.

i posted pics. 100% plug and play, lambda sensors fit without modifications, you also get 2 plugs in the kit if you don't use lambda sensors in your car. However, a friend of mine installed the whole supersprint's exhaust system (from the exhaust manifold to the rear muffler) in his euro-spec e46 m3 and lost hp and torque. i don't have any warning lights.

why you are change lambdas?

I am order ss decat from first picture. for two weeks decat arrive to me and I go to dyno test. After this i will share with you pictures, movies and my personal experience. maybe this helping some.

i only installed a pair of SS straight pipes to replace the cat and it works just fine
