abradic 03-18-2008, 06:18 PM Are these available in this gray color for a 99 M3 coupe? http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=MorePartInfo&PartID=549366&siteid=214336&catalogid=4462I know it says black on the description, but with the dove gray interior the color in the picture would be perfect.
kingfish 03-18-2008, 07:13 PM Email sent. got some billing questions regarding the shipping cost. please reply
Evan at Tischer 03-19-2008, 11:47 AM After investigating this order to no end, the shipping type that was selected was in fact, "next day".
As per our policies and FAQ section (http://www.trademotion.com/pages/index.cfm?action=viewPage&siteid=214672&pageid=10180), we only add the shipping charges after we package, weigh, and measure each package. We do this to offer our customers the lowest price possible. Original order confirmations (like the one you posted) will always show a shipping charge of 0.00 as this is added at the end of the process when we ship your order. Free ground shipping is just that, free for ground shipping ONLY. You upgraded to next day air...whether on purpose or by mistake...so we will not be refunding your shipping charge. We will also not be paying for the return shipping on your order as we followed our policies and filled your order to a "T". We are prepared to present all of our proof to the credit company upon investigation.
Making this a public complaint on a message board will not resolve this situation (FAQ # 19). In fact, you've banned yourself from ordering parts through us in the future.
My advice to other bimmerforums members: Take advantage of our free ground shipping on our many different specials, but do not expect free overnight or upgraded shipping. We will apply the appropriate charges if you request upgraded shipping. Also, read and understand our policies and FAQ section BEFORE placing an order through our site.
TISCHERBMW 03-19-2008, 12:56 PM What a shady business. It's like, heres your open bill and i will charge you whatever after i sent it so that you have to pay for it. WTF?? :nono
Actually, you're dealing with the elite online OEM BMW Parts and Accessories supplier. Not only do we strive to provide the best pricing and service possible, but we are also extremely fair with our customers as well. But, unfortunately for you, we do adhere to our policies. As Evan stated above, everything is clearly outlined on our FAQ and policies pages. There is no "gray"area with this dispute, or even the possibility that we're being even remotely unfair. Plain and simple, you placed the order and selected the Next Day Air shipping option. I'm looking at your order screen right now. The first e-mail that you copied to your post above is the first order confirmation, sent to the customer when we process the order originally. This confirmation always shows a shipping amount of $0.00, and states that the shipping charge is To Be Determined. This way, we can weigh/measure the package when it's prepared for shipment, and get an accurate estimate of the shipping charge directly from UPS. The second confirmation shows that the order is complete, and has been shipped. It also shows the total amount on the invoice, including the determined shipping costs, along with a UPS tracking number for customer reference.
We do advertise, and continue to offer free shipping for the floormats. However, there will be a shipping charge for any selected expidited shipping options chosen by the customer when the order is placed. Obviously, we're not going to eat the extra charge for you to have your mats the following day when the overnight shipping charges
would by far outweigh the small amount of profit that we're collecting on these already-discounted mats.
Bottom line, we are here for you. We go out of our way on a daily basis to meet our customers' needs. We will, and always do, make it a point to immediately correct any mistakes that we make. However, we refuse to absorb costs due to customer negligence, which is clearly the case here. Dispute the charge until you're red in the face, we've got the evidence here that is cut and dry. Your disputes will be to no avail, I can tell you this from personal experiences that we've had in the past. If we make the mistake, we fix it right for the customer. But if we don't, we will adhere to the policies that have been put into place for situations just like this one. We will back up our decisions with the facts.

Evan at Tischer 03-19-2008, 01:20 PM I gave you the benefit of the doubt, as we always do, in any situation that arises. The point is, I've proven to you that you did select next day shipping...whether on purpose or by mistake. I even checked w/ the company that develops our software to see if there could have been a glitch.
We can not eat the high shipping charge this order had because you neglected to make sure you order was to your specifications before submitting it. And this order, or any order will not raise suspicion as we do not comb through each order and determine if the customer needs parts the next day or in a week. We expect the customer has made the decision to choose the shipping method that best suits them. If you can figure out a way to code our online ordering system software to raise a flag about orders that might not be how the customer wants it......awsome.....you've just developed a new form of artificial intellegence way beyond my understanding.
It's funny you mention sh*tty customer service when we've gone out of our way to address this issue as quickly as possible. It's funny how our customer service is only sh*tty when the customer is unhappy about a mistake they make and we do not absorb the cost of that mistake. Any other time we recieve tons of praise for our consistent high level of customer service. :nono
This will be my last post regarding this. Any future, slanderous post will be immediately reported to the admins.
I can only speak from my own experience with Evan and Tischer and they have been First class and very informative in my orders.
An example would be them packaging my order in One box to ship even though I ordered on different days due to my last minute decisions on parts.
Thanks for the great customer service and I will continue to order from you in the future. BTW, my order arrived exactly on the day UPS said it would...now I have to make a run down to the border to pick it up!
I have shopped around and the pricing and service is the best.
Cheers.
Derek
cragg56 03-19-2008, 01:48 PM Are these still $90 shipped? On your site they are $98. Is there something I must do to get the discount?

nvkulk 03-19-2008, 04:48 PM I have bought many items from Tischer BMW and have never had a bad experience. I'm sorry the OP has had this experience but for me Tischer BMW has alway been fair and competitive.

...And we will continue to provide this type of support to our customers. Which is why we would have already taken necessary action to correct our mistakes in this case, had we made any in the first place. We're really not in this business to rip anyone off, regardless of what the opposing party states in this thread. :buttrock
Evan at Tischer 03-19-2008, 06:06 PM Update...
My $66 next day premium UPS shipping did not even make to my place. UPS said they left it in front of my condo unit. No signature required (for a $66 shipping???). UPS did not even bother to knock on my door telling me that it was there. I was at my place the whole time this morning when they dropped it off at 9:20am.
This is getting really frustrating.
After a package is picked up by UPS, it becomes their responsibility. Perhaps you should contact them regarding the high price of next day air, or the fact that it looks like they botched up this delivery. Honestly, I hope they did mess up and will reimburse us the delivery charge...I'll be happy to then reimburse you the full amount and hopefully get some resolve to your satisfaction to this issue.
I believe i am entitled to my action because i don't think it is fair to charge this much shipping cost to an item i'm not really dying to get.
So from this statement, are you admitting you could have mistakingly picked "next day" delivery?? ...but you think you're entitled to call us out...because you think UPS's rates are "unfair"...?
If you are saying that this is absolutely my fault, then it happened that way because your system is flawed - They sent me a confirmation of receipt with $0 shipping only to find out 2 days after that it is $66. If i knew that same day that i did a $66 shipping option, i would have cancelled that very moment so that the package doesn't get sent that way.
Tell me a website that does the same thing.. You know the dimension/weight of the package, so why can't you tell me up front how much to ship it? Anyway, ill stop ranting now because the damage was already done.
Glad you brought this up. After thousands and thousands of orders why would our system become flawed for one order and change your shipping type to next day if you didnt select it. I told you through email that I even had the company responsible for making our software look into it to make sure there were no flaws w/ your order. The code selected for shipping was in fact, next day.
And your original email confirmation is not your billing reciept! That was emailed to you after the order was processed. We also enclose a reciept and packing slip w/ your order. You had to have seen this when making your order...it's directly from the order screens you went through.....
231489
Let's note the "Shipping Cost will be determined at time of shipping." in the left center of the screen. Let's also note the hyperlink titled "Shipping" under the sub total. If you click the "shipping" hyperlink, it would have taken you to...
231490
Let's note that it specifically states "However, the freight amount will be the actual freight charged by the carrier. Shipping charge is determined when part is shipped."
We also note this in our polices section accessible from most screens, as well as our FAQ section (http://www.trademotion.com/pages/index.cfm?action=viewPage&siteid=214672&pageid=10180).
You also said we sent you a confirmation 2 days later w/ the $66 freight charge....? Am I missing something....it's only been 1 day since you ordered this part. The original confirmation was sent immediately after you placed the order and the final confirmation with billing totals (including the shipping) was sent minutes after that as we processed and shipped this order the same business day. This all went down on Tuesday, March 18th 2008...today is March 19th. My point is we immediately sent you the information and you could have easily contacted us before your part shipped to stop the order and switch to ground shipping.
As for telling you shipping upfront, our process is all outlined in our FAQ section that you obviously neglected to read. We even give you a link to UPS to calculate shipping!! (even though ground shipping was free, you can check to see how much expedieted shipping is)
I've ordered tons online and you guys are not even near being elite in the online business. You want to see elite service, try bodybuilding.com
:lol I'm pretty sure Jason said "elite online OEM BMW parts and accesssories supplier".....I'm not sure how or why bodybuilding.com is relevant....last time I checked, they don't sell BMW parts. Trying to put us down is not going to solve anything. We have a solid reputation on many online forums for being the best at what we do. We'll continue to conduct our business the way we have been this entire time......a bad apple who neglects to follow our simple procedure will NOT slow us down.
BTW...now that I'm off work, I'm heading to the gym with Jason. Do you think I should hit up bodybuilding.com to overnight some supplements...then make major public complaints because I don't think their shipping charges are fair? :confused

Evan at Tischer 04-25-2008, 09:10 AM Hi Guys,
Being a BMW dealership, we ONLY sell OEM BMW parts/accessories. Rest assured that all of the floormats we sell are OEM. The descriptions on our site are taken directly from BMW. The M mats say made to the same specs as the BMW mats as they are referring to the non M mats. :)
I believe the part number I'm looking for is 82 11 1 469 759. Please correct me if I'm in error.

I don't believe BMW makes them for the E30. We do run the carpet ones on special in our E30 3 series section (http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=AccessoryCatalog&catalogid=4462&siteid=214672&categoryID=131945) of our specials catalog (http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=AccessoryCatalog&catalogid=4462&siteid=214672)!

1995E36 06-21-2008, 02:55 PM I put my mats in the car today and it's probably the best $90 I've spent on my car. It makes a big difference compared to the old ones.:)
FingerTight 06-25-2008, 11:42 AM Put the mats in last night, Anthracite on Dove...looks GREAT.
Best $90 I've spent on the car too. Here's my quick review:
- The fit is 98%, they seem to be a touch "tighter" than my old worn out stock mats...probably cuz they aren't all scrunched up
- The pile of the carpet is definitely not as "thick" as the 1995 original mats, give 'em an 85% here
- Finish is great, the edging looks nice, no hanging threads, embroidery is good, 100%
- Hook and loop fasteners look to be decent, we shall see. I'm sure they will work a lot better with the car wash guys :D
Finally, see attached picture for the black (anthracite) on dove, I think it looks awesome, ties in really nice with the black interior pieces
IppoJ 06-25-2008, 11:53 AM - The pile of the carpet is definitely not as "thick" as the stock, give 'em an 85% here
I thought these were stock, OEM mats. que?
the Locust 06-25-2008, 11:57 AM Thanks for the pic Finger! I can't decide between Anthracite (it'll get less dirty) or gray (will make the car seem bigger, optical illusion-wise)
FingerTight 06-25-2008, 12:04 PM I thought these were stock, OEM mats. que?
I am 100% sure these are stock, OEM mats.
My guess is that (like many things BMW) the build quality has changed from 1995 to 2008.
Edited my original post to be more specific.
FingerTight 06-25-2008, 12:06 PM Thanks for the pic Finger! I can't decide between Anthracite (it'll get less dirty) or gray (will make the car seem bigger, optical illusion-wise)

For what it's worth, the Anthracite does not make the car feel smaller on the Dove...in my experience. If anything it adds a lil contrast down low defining the massive depths of the foot wells :stickoutt

Well that's what I mean, the gray floors should match the gray carpets, thus giving off the illusion of a bigger floor, thus making your interior look bigger. It's a psychological design technique.
So conflicted! Maybe i'll get the mulberry carpets... =D

I fully understand your illusion...I just think it may work opposite the way you think! All one color does not give the eye any lines to follow, therefore making the space appear smaller as there is no discernible depth. Make sense?
Mulberry would be sick....lol
the Locust 06-25-2008, 01:00 PM Yeah i know what you mean, but because the eye doesn't have any lines to notice, it all looks like it's apart of the floor in a way.
GAHHHHH, this is hard! I think i'm gonna go for the black, because I just realized; my floor lining (particularly around the center console) is getting dark from stains, and probably won't match the gray I buy anyways.
Thanks for your help man!

You are welcome to buy a set of each and return the one you don't use for a full refund! We ship these free of charge within the US...so you'd only have to pay 7 - 9 bucks to send them back to us at your convenience. :)
the Locust 06-27-2008, 08:36 PM Ok, so here I am waxing my car when all of a sudden I go into the house, check out the UPS tracking number and ... Delivered? But... I ordered it 2 days ago, how is that possible??? And I put my order late that day too, like 5pm! I received it in 1 day!?!
Thank you so much!
As for the mats, they fit perfectly. Definitely cleans up the interior. Good advice on the Dove/Black combo FingerTight, they look great. As for the thickness, I don't notice a difference...
Anyways, here're pics. Thanks once again Tischer, another satisfied product (ZHP Shift Knob, see pic 3) If you ever need a sponsor car or a fitment monkey, my e36 M3 is your e36 M3. Only takes a day to receive your products also!
Order these. Now.

Looking forward to your response so I can get these ordered. :alright

mtpktz. 07-22-2008, 12:04 AM Are these still $90 shipped? I would like a set of Anthracite, as long as I can get a realistic quote of what the time frame on the national order is.

If the mats are in stock and ordered before 2pm EST, we do our best to ship the same day. If they are on order through BMW, it typically takes about 2 business days for us to get.......unless they are on national backorder....which can takes weeks before they replenish stock. Once you order, we mark your order as 'instock', 'on order', or 'on order' with a backorder message. These genuine BMW mats include the mounting hardware!

The mats will come with either the velcro fasteners or screw-in type depending on the vehicle. We can't change how they are made by BMW unfortunately. :)
