From what I've seen when I've removed them it was held up with a bunch of clips and a few screws (well, bolts if you will) on the front, rear, and bottom - and there was a rubber seal on the top of it that sat flush with the body - or are you talking about something else? I can't imagine you'd need a specialized tool, but I'm not sure if the early E36's came with the holes you'd need to mount new skirts on. Let me know if you still need more help, I can look into it and research a few things. Jake D 03-13-2008, 10:46 PM Yes, I'm mounting OEM skirts on a non-skirted e36. I need to drill the holes for the grommets/clips and the rivets on the end and the bottom side. If I can't get a hold of the jig, at least knowing the correct size bits to drill with would help. mitchelrl 03-13-2008, 11:45 PM From what I remember reading way back when...you start small, then go up until you can snap them into place snuggly. |
