Hi Guys does anyone know where I can get some info on this car? 1990 E34 Hartge 3340cc engine, automatic, bought it at auction in Japan. My buyer said it is very clean, grade 4, 93,000km. couldnt find any info on the net, some help here maybe? Thanks in advance Brian

I looked at one of these once. You are right, very hard to find any info on them. I think what you have bought is an H5 or H3.5? although Hartge variants ranged from purely cosmetic to full custom M5 based engines. It is odd that the one I looked at also had an autotragic. There should be a Hartge plate with a serial number if it is genuine. Your best bet is to contact Hartge with the serial number and ask them what mods were done. Hope you don't have to rebuild the engine as I remember reading somewhere that the internals are hard to find and $$$$. You probably have the M30 engine with upgraded Hartge head, cam, chip etc. Here is what I have dug up.
