So it's almost the end of winter. Good riddance. To celebrate the warmth and wonder of a full day of sunlight and no longer freezing my arse off working in the middle of the night I'll be having a "Give winter the finger" meetup.
The meet will be held at the shop I work at.
1525 Highland Ave
Cheshire, Ct. 06410
Opinions on the date are welcome, tentatively scheduled for April 27th. This is a Sunday. Rain predictions will reschedule for the next weekend, I'll be watching the weather for the whole week ahead, if it looks like the possibility of rain I'll probably call it early to give the most notice.
All cars welcome, this is not a strict e34 meet, but I'd like to see a lot of them. I'll post a link in the New England section. I've talked to Matt at Sports Car Restoration, he thinks he'll bring a few guys/cars, all makes/models/years welcome, not just BMWs.
I've got capabilities for car washing, it looks like there will be a couple guys (at least) that are detail hounds that will be able to give advice.
I'll probably have a grill and some meat, if you want to pitch in towards food costs it will be welcome, but not mandatory. Last time I bought way too much food and had a few cars, this time I'd rather have more cars and less food. Booze will be BYOB, please bring/consume enough to have a good time and be able to drive home safely, I'd hate to see some nice cars have some horror stories.
I have parking at the shop in the field out back for many cars, I'd be willing to gamble on room for 40 or more cars, if that many showed I'd be stunned but they'd be welcome.
Updates will be made to this post, the thread will be bumped, would be nice to get a sticky too. Tell your friends, make some plans, enjoy some sun and cars. Come welcome the Summer with open arms and meet some board members.
Be here, or be ridiculed on the board later.
