Hi guys I don't actually own an E28, but for the newxt week or so, I'll be driving a 1988 528e while my 7 is in the shop. The interior light is out, which I already find very annoying, since It makes it just about impossible to see anything inside the car while it's dark out. I'm talking about the dome light. I work at a Volvo dealership, and we happened to have the same 12V 10W bulbs, so I replaced both, and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas? It could be a fuse, but everything else seems to be working alright. That is, except for the odometer, the heat, the door locks, and the cruise control :D. I will say that I do like the car, I'm actually looking forward to having it for the next few days.

There is a three position (off, door control, on) rocker switch right next to the fog light switch that controls the interior lights.

If it isn't the switch, buy a new dome light. Bavauto.com has one under part number

My lights only come on at the switch. I have to figure out why they don't come on when you open the door. The indicator swicth is in the correct position but I need to do some troubleshooting. Check MYE28, I am sure there is a troubleshooting guide.

Thanks, that was the first thing I tried.

Nope, that's not it, there's a wiring issue behind the dash.

None of this matters anymore seeing as I have my car back! But I am thinking about buying the 528e in a few months.
