I noticed today that the high beam shines without any hint of yellow, and the areas illuminated even has a slight blue hue. The regular light next to it is halogen(yellowish).

If you have factory installed Xenons then the high-beam is Xenon and the light next to it is the parking/day-time running light. The flash to pass feature (pulling back on the turn signal stalk) uses the parking/DRL bulb where the high-beam (pushing forward on the turn signal stalk) uses the Xenon.

Hope that helps.

Correct unless he is referring to an E38 or E39 in which the high beam is halogen, while the low beam is xenon. Gotta love first generation Xenon technology!:shifty:buttrock
