Bosch voltage regulator, BMW P/N 12-31-1-747-920, Bosch P/N 1-197-311-225-770. Fits all E32 740i, 740iL; E31 840i; E34 525i (M50), 530i, and 540i; and E36 323i, 325i, 328i, and M3 (M50, M52, S50, S52) with 140 amp Bosch alternator. Does not fit Valeo alternators.
It is essentially new, as it was used for 0 miles and 5 minutes. It was opened and used to test an alternator then carefully removed. I guarantee this regulator to be 100% functional. If your voltage regulator brushes are worn, then this is a very inexpensive fix than to buy a new alternator. List price for this regulator is $129.00, I'm asking $50 shipped.
