I bought my 03 m3 back in November from Elmhurst BMW with a warranty. About 2 or 3 days later it finally warmed up so I tested out the sunroof which I had tried a few days earlier when it was colder out and it would only open halfway so I stopped messing around with it because I thought it was frozen. Even when it was warmer out it still would only open a little, barely at all. So we were pretty pissed about that so we brought the car over to Westmont to get it serviced, they said they could do it with all the papers.

So we brought the car there and they started to work on it until they got the call saying that warranty was not going to cover it since it was pre-existing... So now my sunroof is being held in by tape...

I was just wondering if anyone has had troubles with their warranty and what they did about it. We are going into Westmont on Friday to try getting this solved. They should be the ones paying for it, I don't mind paying 200 for the deductible but the whole thing which was around 1,800...

TIA

How does it being pre-existing stop the warranty from being used? Sounds like they are trying to run on you.

tell me about it.... I pay 2,000 for an extended warranty and they are trying to hassle me about getting the car fixed. Reminds me of the people that have health insurance and get dropped once they find out you are really sick with something.
