Does anyone know how to edit a phone number once its in your phonebook in iDrive? When I click on the number from my address book, the only options that come up are "Call" and "Add Digits". I have several numbers in the book that I need to edit.

Also, I dont see any option to manually add a new number either. The manual is no help.

How do I do this?

I had to edit mine on the actual phone, then when it connects via bluetooth, it updates the listing, I've not tried to edit any numbers outside of the phone itself. I'd like that feature if you figure it out, I don't have a manual in front of me.

You edit them in your phone. There's nothing actually saved in your car.

Hello "Ty Vil":

Yes, there is. The car has its own memory. So does the phone. I do not know any way to edit the numbers stored in the car's memory. I just tell the car to delete the entry and then re-enter it with voice commands.

The entries in phone memory I edit using the phone.

Two different things.

thanks. That definitely clears things up. The only problem I still have is that for some numbers its necessary to enter a pause so that the initial number can be dialed and then you have the phone wait for a few seconds before it continues entering numbers (like a password or PIN). So far, iDrive is not recognizing the pauses that I currently have on my phone. This is very frustrating.

Any ideas?

VA and scroll modes are two different things. Bluetooth is not bi-directional. Ex. you can edit a number in your phone all you want and it will uypdate scroll in your car. If you change it and say "call xyz" it will retain the properties of the orginal entry.

iDrive wins again!

I spent an hour in my bosses 645 trying to figure that crap out. Needless to say, my new 335 doesn't have iDrive.

If I were you, I'd head to a dealer and ask a CA. Good luck.

Or call them, unless it is their number you are trying to edit :rolleyes.
