View Full Version : FS: E36 ZKW's + 35W 5000k Prolumen HID's
artifact 03-09-2008, 03:07 PM Just trying to see if anyone's interested in my current lighting setup. There's absolutely nothing with the ZKW's or the Prolumen HID's, I'm just looking for yet another change in my lighting setup. I bought these about a month and a half ago from Krank. Up until that time, they had Stonegaurd protection on them, so the glass is in great shape with very, very few pitting marks. The headlights are delensed and the 5000k Prolumen HID kit will come preinstalled. Highbeam and city light bulbs will all be included along with the PNP harness. No broken tabs. The only thing you'll need to do is install them and aim them, as they're aimed a bit low right now.
These lights are still on my car, but I can remove them as soon as I need to if someone is seriously interested. I'm sorry, but I don't play the dibs game, first come, first serve.
SOLD!!!

Stück 03-09-2008, 03:24 PM Paypal's fee is YOURS to pay, it is against their terms of service, and the rules of this forum to pass that fee onto your buyer.

Didn't realize it was against the rules, edited.

Yes, as stated in my essay of a first post, they are :)

See this thread (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=875531&highlight=zkw%27s) for what lensed ZKW's look like compared to mine. Delensing is simply removing the inner glass lenses that would normall cover the high beam and the low beam projector.
These are ZKW ellipsoids, as stated in the title. You'd have to contact a supporting vendor for a real quote on a 55W ballast upgrade. Try sending a PM to users APXDDM or jsp98m3, they're both a part of www.DDMtuning.com (http://www.DDMtuning.com) (supporting vendors here).
frost12850 03-10-2008, 12:14 AM What does de- lensing exactly do for the lights though??
bmwsmurf 03-10-2008, 12:22 AM Sorry to hijack, but since when is passing paypal fees against the rules of the forum?
The only place where I've seen this policy is crapbay.

Makes the projectors more defined and modern looking, IMO. There's also a little more color at the cutoff lines, which lots of people seem to like. Delensing does affect the light output a bit, though. There's not as much of a spread as there is with normal (read as: lensed) lights. There is still plenty of light put onto the road though, especially with HID's.

I didn't know it was either, but after glancing at the selling rules stickied atop this section, it is mentioned there.
