This website has been very helpful to a novice bmw owner.. thanks again.
I was wondering how the headlight washers work on the xi's? I dont see any buttons anywhere on the main console, so im guessing it's triggered by doing something else.

They operate in tandem with the windshield washers when the headlights are on.

And they don't operate with every windshield squirt but something like every fourth or fifth squirt they come on.

Mine appear to operate every time I pull back on the wiper stalk to activate the 4-wipe cycle.

My C-Class MB had a separate control for the headlight washers. I hate when I need to use the regular windshield washers when my lights are on and the darn spray from the light washers sprays all over my hood. I sometimes turn off my lights just briefly when I activate the windshield washers to avoid the spray. BMW should provide a separate control, IMO. Just one of those things.
