Hey guys, i didnt post here before, but i'm sure that i'll be helped.

My Car, 1988 535i auto, is not driving forward, only the reverse and the parking are good, but when i change the shifter to Drive, the RPM will drop for a second, but the car is not moving, i checked the oil (OK) and the fuse box (OK) ....

So, is it got shot or what ? if yes which is cheaper .. get it fixed, rebuilt, or get a used one and install it ? and where i can do that ? by the way i'm new in san diego area.
anybody got a good one with a reasonable price?

I'll tell you what happened, the zf electronic tranny you got in your car was revved to much in neutral or park. And since the zf tranny has no pressure release the "A" clutch blew out of the damn thing.

You can replace your tranny with a rebuilt unit, or do a 5spd swap, which I am thinking about doing as well.
