I bought a 2002 325ci a few months ago, I've noticed that when i press on my brakes, there is a clunking noise. It doesn't happen everytime I press my brakes. any sugestions???

Where is the clunking noise coming from? What does it sound like?

How many miles on the clock? Do you have any maintenance records that state if the brakes were ever worked on?

Does the "clunking" noise continue as you are applying the brakes, or does it just do it a couple of times and then quits while the brakes are still being applied?
