I’m a fairly new member that’s been hanging out a bit too long not to say Hi. I’m also a Roadfly member and find this board a little more easy going and much easier to navigate (my mouse-click finger is a lot less fatigued!).

I have a 94 840Ci (Silver w/Parchment) with about 103K on it. I’m sort of the real second owner. The first owner is a collector of vintage BMW’s that had the car for 94K mostly highway miles, and the true second owner had it for about a year and 4K miles and didn’t like it – imagine that!

I’ll share a pic as soon as I build up enough posts (strange rule but …).

Cheers!

see that little button to the right of Post Quick Reply ? It says: Go Advanced, click on it and start your typing. At the top of the dialogue box there are many little buttons also. Click on the "paperclip" button and this will allow you to attach images. You are limited to 150K image file size, but other than that it is real easy.

Now post a couple of pics of your 8!!

Thanks TxGR8White but I don't get the paperclip button in the advanced version and the Insert Image icon (the yellow square with the mountains) asks for a url. Looking at the FAQ's it mentions that there is a Manage Attachments button that can be used to attach things (but I don't see that anywhere). And the Posting Rules shown at the bottom of the page say "You may not post attachments". Hmmmm...

Just over a year. I travel for business quite a bit so don't get to use it as much as I'd like. Now that spring is almost here, it's time for a nice long trip.

Iv had mine for about 8 months and use it as my daily drive, I hate to use it in the bad weather but dont get much choice in the UK. Just have to wash it every week.

I've got an old Subaru for a daily driver so I tuck the 8 away during most of the winter. Out here in Colorado, they spread sand (more like gravel) whenever it snows which gets kicked up onto your car by the yahoo's in pickup trucks without mud flaps! A lot of cracked windshields out here.

When I commuted from Bailey down into Denver my insurance company bought a new windshield for everything I drove every spring. Anything worth keeping had a Bra on it if you drove it in the winter :(

Look forward to seeing your pics. I try not to take mine out in the rainy times either. Here in my section of Colorado we can easily have a nasty storm with small to large hailstones that will REALLY mess up your car!
