I am doing a BMW only photoshoot somewhere either in seattle or bellevue area. I have few car photoshoots in the past and hope to get as many people as possible for this photoshoot. I am still looking at locations, dates, and times. If you know of a good place for the photoshoot let me know. Just post here if your interesed or send me a message.

I live on the Eastside and I know a few decent locations for photoshoots, depending on the ammount of cars. There's nice parking lots on Lake Wash Blvd in Kirkland on the waterfront. There's also Juanita beach with a HUGEEEEE parking lot that's always empty and there is BBQ space. If it's only like 3 or 4 cars, there's a nice little spot right near the boat launch in downtown Kirkland next to the big gazeebo (sp?) where you could get the water and boats in the background.

If people would be up for a short drive to Alki Beach (20 min from Kirkland), there's countless spots over there right on the water with incredible views of downtown Seattle.

Bellevue, there's a few spots but not too many I know of with nice backdrops. If there were only 3-4 cars, maybe we could set up in a parking lot in the heart of Bellevue Square and get a nice looking backdrop of the buildings at dusk, but other than that, I don't think there's much worth taking pictures of in Bellevue. Then again, I've only lived here a year so I don't know much.

Redmond, there might be some nice places where we can take some pics with nice backdrops of the hills/fields and maybe something in Redmond Town Center? Again, I don't know if Redmond has many photo ops. I think Kirkland might be where its at. Plus, if say we had a good number of people attending, we could all hang at Juanita Beach because there is MORE than enough parking available, it's a GORGEOUS photo op (especialy at sun set) and we could have ourselves a little BBQ and not be far from the cars at all (20 feet?).

Well its good to see that there a lot of people interested. I've posted on a few different forums and have been getting a huge response of people wanting to do the photo shoot. I have a few people I know from school who want to do it. It would be better to do it on a Saturday or Sunday. It sounds like alki beach or somewhere on Lake Washington is where you guys want to do it. Two Saturdays from yesterday would work out. Looks like I am aiming for Saturday March 29th. I will get the location up this week. Just need to agree on a spot.

Acutually I think doing it on Lake Washington is the best place. Does anyone know of any places around there?

Alki Beach on a Saturday, especially if it's nice is going to be MOBBED. There's no way in hell we'd all get a good shot together.

Alki beach is played out. So many people and car forums do mass photoshoots there. Lake Washington however, has great driving shots and single laned curvy roads. Depending on what part of Lake Washington. I pretty much drove from Renton all the way to Bellevue square just taking Lake Washington Drive/Road, and Renton towards UW a few times also.

But whatever spot you want, im down. Dont mind if i bring my own photographer also?

No disrespect intended, but i rather not attend a meet where i know hondas are going to attend. I dont personally know them, but most meets where theres a large group of hondas always end with a problem.

And i never went on honda tech, but on other automotive forms they all talk down on honda tech. A couple of my friends actually went to a honda meet with their "track spec" cars. And there were alot of honda people talking shit and making remarks on their cars, when their cars seen more track and "performance" mods then most of thos guys even seen or heard of.

Also, at lot of the times, the police are involved due to their loud exhausts and random burnouts.

Ok, so heres the deal. I want to have the meet on the 29th, that is final. Second off I was thinking the time would be some where around 2:00 in the afternoon or if you want it can be earlier. The 3rd thing is the location, I have three places and you can decide on them. Here they are 1. Issaquah High lands at the top or the park n ride, 2. A big parking lot some where on lake washington near bellvue or kirkland, and 3. maybe the XXX in issaquah. These are the places or if you have a better idea go ahead and throw it out there. The time can be modified to fit into eveyones schedule. The final decision for where the photoshoot will take place will be made by next tuesday.

This is a seperate meet thent he other. I want it a different location. Now if rains, I don't know if we'll still do it. If it does, I'll either push it back one more weekend or just take the pics even if it rains. Or just do it at a park and ride and there won't be any problem if it rains or not.

alright, i have the location for the photo shoot. I don't know how many of you have been to issaquah before but there is a boat launch/park with a parking lot right on the water and the perfect spot for me the do the photo shoot and easy to find. I believe its called Lake Sammamish State Park boat launch or something. Here is a web site with pics of the area that i found. I check today and yesterday and it wasn't busy. So thats good. http://nw-photos.com/thumbs/2007/07/070711c.htm . Now that the location is set, i was thinking of doing the photo shoot some time around 1 or 2 pm in the afternoon if that works.

no we're going to the state park. there is a seperate park which is just for boat launches and it won't cost anything. besides we aren't parking and shouldn't have to pay. there is a machine that you put the money into. let me clarify that its not sammamish state park.

if you have friends with other cars they can come. but there will be photos with bmw's only. that is the main point of the photo shoot.

1.As you are arriving in issaquah, there are two exits. You will be taking the first one.
2.On the right side of the high way as you are coming into issaquah is a long 2 lane exit lane you want to get into. Stay in the left lane.
3.When you get to the light, make sure your in the very most left lane. The intersection in front of you should say "SE 56th str".
4.You will make a left on to this street and take it all they way to the end. It a little far. As your driving stay in the left lane. You will pass a cost co on your right hand side and keep going past that. Go across the bridge and there will be a fed ex on your left side. Keep passing that till you get to a light with an albertsons in your view on the far distant left.
5.Make sure your in the left turning. E Lake Sammamish Pkwy SE should be in front of you. Take a left turn on this road and stay in the left lane again.
6.You will go about a mile down this road. You'll pass through one light and then keep going.
7.After about a mile on your left side is Lake Sammamish. You should see a brown sign that has boat for a boat launch and it will say 1000ft before you get to the entrance.
8.The turning lane is in the middle of the road and when you see the entrance to the little boat launch park, get into the turning lane and turn left into the entrance.
9.When you've made your way in, you should see the lake in front of you with a big grass area and a parking lot. My White E30 with dark tinted windows will be parked there and thats how you get there from the I-90.

Im might be attending the E90 meet. Sammamish is a good drive away, whats weird is the weathers not soo good. So i dont know whos going to attend the E90 meet also...

I dont mean no disrespect, but ive thrown tons of successful potlucks to bbq automotive meets. And from what ive seen so far, this meet was planed poorly so thats what made me decide to attend the E90 meet. Im sure that reason is also what made others not attend your meet.

dude, don't get your panties up in a bunch I clearly told you that there was already a Meet planned for this date and even invited you to come to take pictures and such.. clearly, you didn't even provide the time and your directions were scrambled.. Second, it was messed up trying to gather people when there was already a planned meet.. I don't know why you are so upset, :confused

Alright Patti panties... this whole meet that you "planned" if you can call it that was screwed up from the beginning. You set a date and it was constantly changing and changing and changing. I would have been happy to come to this but the date and location was constantly changing!

I am pretty sure a bunch of us would show up, hell there was 5 or 6 people who showed up to Dick's on tuesday when Mike posted it up that same day! The difference is his meet had a set date and time so it was very clear where yours was screwed to shit. If you want to do a photo shoot start a thread see when a good date is and when you get the grunt work down open another(separate) thread and post it up like Mike showed you.
