I would say on a 95 you have to go with dinan software for the engine and the tran

For OBC-I and "404" Motronic, go for Wokke2000 engine chip. Best bang for your $. For the tranny, Dinan chip.

Second Koizumi's thoughts here -- these two in combination will really wake up your 840. Sure worked on mine !

so do any of u guys have the wokke chip in a 840ci? if u do, do u feel a gain on the low end?

Yes that is where most of the V8 gain appears-down low instead of up high for top speed.

Check the build date on the end of the door. A lot of '95 models were built in '94 and are very chippable.

My V8 is a different beast with the Wokke chip installed. Night & day. Worth every penny.

so i checked the build date on my car....its a 95 model but the build date reads 11/95.....does wokke make one for that build date? i checked his ebay listing and it said it wont work on '95 onwards with EWS II....so his chip wont work on my 840?...damn, that would be a shame.

Looks like you might be out of luck. From my research, cars built until the end of December 1994 used the correct Motronic. My '95 was built 11/94

To be sure, you need to check the Motronic and see if the Motronic # ends in "404". If it ends in "484", you're outta luck.

Contact Wolf via this forum or thru the eBay listing as to how to check for the Motronic #.

Any chips for the M73 engine? Just wondering if any guys here know if DINAN is every going to offer the turbos again?

Not sure about OBC-II cars. You're looking at reprogramming. I think that the Dinan transmission chip will work though on OBC-II cars.

I am sure that Dinan will not offer Turbos for E31 applications. Sadly those days are over.

When it's time, I will get the Wokke chip. I have heard nothing bad from any of the posts here about them.
