Do the tail lights on a earlier e46 (Pre 2003.5 non LED) have the same connections in the rear as the LED?

Or better put, can i plug and play OEM e46 LED tails into an 01 or 02 e46?

I know i dont make much sense half the time
after all, its 1.30 here

yes, the LEDS fit all e46, including m3s. Some of the older model m3s might require a new LCM (Light Control Module). Also you will have to flash your LCM after swapping to LEDS to kill the light out warning on the dash

Last time I checked (when I upgraded my pre-LED M3 to an LED M3 setup... the harnesses were different because of the adaptive brake light technology. However, BMW did sell an adaptor harness for like $7 so you could get the LEDs to work, but you wouldn't have the adaptive brake light technology unless you rigged it up yourself.
