Ok guys I went to get my windows tinted and before the guy started he said he had to explain something to me. He said on the back window there are little dots that are supposedly used to block out the sun or something. When the tint is applied it usually doesn't dry evenly and leaves white spots. Alot of people have complained to him about it.

This guy handles alot of celebrity/athletes vehicles and has done my other cars before, so I decided to do it anyway. It hasn't completely dried yet but it is noticeable. What I might do is put some black vinyl on the top of the back windshield to block it out. I just wanted to let everyone know about this just in case it wasn't posted before.

I'm surprised too. This is a common problem. If he really does celebrity cars I'm surprised he didn't just do it with the vinyl the first time. I would imagine celebrities usually don't put up with shoddy installs.

I just got tint done on my 335 and he said that after the tint drys he is going to do the same thing except he is going to use some special paint and paint a line across the top

I tint my car last week as well but the top portion of the rear windshield still have the white stuff (air void). I am going to ask the tint guy to squeeze out the air trapped inside as much as possible and see what it would look like.

I didn't mention it in my first post, but he was the one who mentioned the vinyl as a solution. He explained everything before he started and made sure I still wanted to do it before he began working on the car.

i got my tints done the other day, and my friend told me the samething, but my car is in the shop for now due to a engine malfunct. but i didn't see a white line prior to dropping my car off..
