Hoping someone can answer this for me.. I know that in some 5 series and 7 series you can adjust the heated seat via the IDrive too, or to be more to the point, you can more finely tune the settings for the back and seat.

I have read in the 2007 and 2008 3 series coupe brochure that with IDrive you can utilize this option too.

I have done everything possible via the IDrive and cannot find anything related to the heated seats. My SA states that this could be a misprint or something BMW plans to incorporate in later 3 series models. Can anyone with a 07 or 08 3 series coupe tell me if they have been able to access the heated seats function via their IDrive??

I know this may sound stupid, but I'm a techno geek and am going nuts over this!!! :help

Don't think 3 series has this advanced option, but I could be wrong and I don't have iDrive.

Why would BMW print it in both the 2007 and 2008 brochures??? It is in the back of the brochures listing all the options and under the picture of the three level heated seats option it has in parenthesis (sp) (With optional iDrive, settings can be further customized). You would think that after one misprint that they would have caught it a year later...

It's definitely a misprint. went through my 355 conv brochure, it listed the same thing. It is not controllable by iDrive in any means.

Never saw that in any of the brochures, but I've been through every menu on my iDrive and the heated seat settings are not tweakable in any of those menus.
