Hey all! I have a 2006 325i which I just purchased. The only thing I've done to it is 3M tint and blackline tail lights. My next step is the short shifter and to increase power.

Is there a way of gaining 30-40 hp without voiding the warranty? There may have already been posts about this but most of what I've found is for 335's. I could use some help! thanks!

30-40 hp is a lot to ask for an NA engine, that is like 15-20% power increase! You may be able to get close to 15-20 max IMO but that may cost more than it is worth.

i believe Dinan makes a kit that brings the 325 up to 330 standards...hope you like writing checks with a comma in it cause it ain't cheap.

Anyone trying to decide between a 328i and a 335i should read this thread.

u can put a turbo on any engine or platform. Whether or not it will be worth your time and money at the end of the day is for you to decide. Just think though that you will need to build a custom exhaust manifold, downpipe, chargepipes, and engine management tuning. You will also need a turbo, FMIC, BOV, supporting fuel mods like injectors/fuel pump (are there any even available?). Then you will need to see if your drivetrain is up to spec to handle the new power.

From my own past experience turbocharging a NA car with a supposedly "bolt-on" kit, it ended up being a HUGE headache on top of costing an arm and a leg to get the car to run remotely close to stock.

I would just sell your car and buy something that suits your needs better, but u can try dinan exhaust system, throttle body and there are some companies that they do offer ecu upgrades...good luck

Agreed! Unless you really want a N/A sleeper, then it might not be worth it. Just enjoy the car the way it is. Nice balance and sporting.
