Hey guys,
The a/c isn't blowing out at all on my 90 735iL and I'm wondering if any of you might be able to help me troubleshoot the problem.
Not sure if this is related or not but a week ago yesterday, I was in a funeral procession getting ready to leave for the cemetary, when I noticed a faint smell of coolant. A couple of minutes later my temp guage started to creep past the 12 o'clock position. I immediately turned off the a/c which was working fine, hoping that would stave off the problem until after the funeral was over. A couple of more minutes and I realized I'd better not chance it and pulled out of the procession. I caught a ride with a friend to the cemetary and then he brought me back to my car. When we got back to my car we could see coolant underneath the car. It turns out that my tstat hose had ruptured. No problem, my friend took me to get a new hose which I put on and drove home. I had antifreeze in my trunk which I put in for the drive home which was no more than 30 mins in rush hour traffic. On the way home, the car didn't overheat but the guage would start to creep up if I sat still too long. Once I got home, I immediately filled up my coolant sytem the rest of the way with water. I haven't had a problem with it overheating(even sitting in traffic) since that day a little over a week ago.
Fast forward to this past Sunday, with the crazy Atlanta weather that we've been experiencing lately, I haven't needed my a/c since the day the hose was replaced. When I tried to use the a/c this past Sunday, nothing was blowing out at all. I thought ok, it's probably just a fuse and replaced all three of the a/c fuses and the heater blower fuse (just in case) but still nothing is blowing out.
Is there something else it could be other than the fuses or the blower motor that's causing this problem??
