what do you mean ??
04SSHD 03-05-2008, 01:19 AM I dropped my car off, the labor quote was 1 hour. I got it back a MONTH later... Stupid dealer couldn't figure out how to code the LKM to the cluster, so they zeroed out my mileage and put a mileage statement sticker in the door jamb. They claimed my LKM wasn't communicating with the cluster. When Edwin visited SoCal, we coded my LKM to the cluster with no issue. So the dealer wasted a month on trying to get this done, and Edwin was able to do it in 10 minutes and he is not even affiliated with BMW.

sweet7 03-05-2008, 09:08 AM Stockbottomend,
Which Stealership are you using? (just curious)
White94RX 03-05-2008, 01:37 PM you know, it's really great when I see all dealerships grouped together as "stealerships" and retarded. Just because you had a bad experience at a dealer, doesn't mean all dealerships are money hungry idiots that know nothing about your car.

Which Stealership do you work for? :D
theysellcoke 03-05-2008, 01:51 PM Ordered a new ignition switch a few weeks ago from my local $tealer, actually quoted them the part number so that they couldn't stuff up the order.
Got a text a couple of days later to let me know that the part had arrived. On collection the service monkey brings me an ignition LOCK - now I could understand the confusion if I'd ordered the part by just asking for an 'ignition switch' - but when you quote a part number, how can you stuff that up?
Obviously I wasn't ordering a brand new M6, so they couldn't give a stuff about my order.

It looks like you're going to have come to terms with the fact that many of us have had bad experiences at the dealer.

Well, its just hard to read. Who cares if you misspell, but typinglikethisjustmakesitreallyhard to read even if you use spaces cause spaces also need periods just like women and they tend to get bitchy with them or without them idk but yea so are you reading this still i gave up on your paragraph like mid way dude cause it was so much work to read it it was tiring to my eye anyhow thats all i have to say and also they make a pill for pms now k thanks bye
CaptHerb 03-05-2008, 03:23 PM omg :rofl

Nice. I had a written a really great post about BMW dealers but since "sorry if you cant read what i wrote next time" is now the rule, here is my post with the letters in alphabetical order.
aaaaaaaaaaabbcccccddddddddeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeefffg ggghhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiklllllllllmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnn nooooooooooooooopprrrrrrrrssssssssssssttttttttuuuu vvvvwwy
I also had some punctuation for my post. Here it is if you need any:
---,,.
sorry if you cant read what i wrote next time.

CaptHerb 03-05-2008, 04:58 PM I spelled "I'm a f*&^ing retard" out of that. :dunno

I really don't understand why you think I had a bad experience at ANY dealer. I've been doing my own work for my "rides" for over 25 years. The reason why I call them $tealerships is due to the UNNECESSARY markups on parts and labor. Just because you have money to thow away doesn't mean I want to. Maybe you are the putz who pays $100.00 for oil changes. Well, good for you and the Supervisors who buy their techs lunch with the change from your cash. I'm the one laughing at your stupid rear end across the street watching you throw their credit cards or flashes their WAD of cash in the cashier's face. :lol:flipa
Maybe you need to look in the mirror to see who really is retarded at this point.

How 'bout it...Stock.. If you still have any issues with the Woodfield Dealer, I usually go a few extra miles and get my "dealer only parts" from Motorwerks in Barrington. Just a thought.
burn740i 03-05-2008, 10:07 PM White94 is a BMW tech...
Mad Dragon 03-05-2008, 10:11 PM I have a cluster coming in tomorrow to install in a car. I think I'll sit on if for a few weeks, because hey man... $$$tealer$$$hip. Then I'll charge them 4 hours, but not after I 'accidentally' double the car's mileage.
Cody Thomson 03-05-2008, 10:13 PM There are bad dealerships out there- I've heard some bad stories. But where I live, my dealership is outstanding. Wonderful service, loaner cars, flexible with my schedule and they even let me bring my own parts. That's right. I buy my OEM parts from Tischer, who discounts them by 20% (plus on my last two orders from them the shipping was included with the brake packages I got) and bring them with me to the dealer. They warranty their work for TWO years and stand by it. Not many dealerships can say this.
I don't bring everything to them as some projects I can do myself, but when I don't have the tools or equipment I have them work on it and I have never been disappointed. Where I live they know the meaning behind customer service, so not all dealerships are stealerships.
burn740i 03-05-2008, 11:20 PM I'm not sure if I speak for all the naysayers, but I don't think that all dealerships are bad. My local dealership, Ira BMW of Stratham has a pretty bad rap from what I know, and they haven't exactly treated me well either. My family has been buying cars and parts from them for 10 years now, and our continued business doesn't seem to matter to them. There is another dealership maybe a half hour from me, BMW of Peabody, which has a far better reputation for their service department. I haven't done business with them personally, but I know many people who have, and haven't heard many complaints.

Not so sure on that, I can get by without good grammar & punctuation on a multinational forum. I can't however get by without a car for two weeks because any number of people at a dealership couldn't pull their fingers out of their a$$es.

JohnC8551 03-06-2008, 07:58 PM WOWZERS!!! I just popped in from the land-o-Z's forum to see what was going on at the 7 series forum. I was kind of sleepy talking about Z cars and figured I'd hang out with you dudes with the flagships. I didn't realize how freakin' entertaining you guys with the bigass sedans were until I read THIS thread. I especially liked the line about how, 'My wife doesn't like periods, either.' TOO FUNNY!!!
Well, cheers for now. I'll be lurking more often; you guys are a hoot!!! ;)
P.S. ipromisetousethespacebarandperiodsandtobeginmysent ancesandpropernounswithacapital. K?
