Regarding my ordered car: When I called the 800 number it said. "Built, at port of exit" How do I find out what ship line it is going on/tracking, etc?

"Built, at port of exit" How do I find out what ship line it is going on/tracking, etc? http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/ Go to "auto cargo" ..put in your VIN number..and it will tell you when it is on the boat....you can track it by VOYAGE, VESSEL NAME, VIN, PORT ETC... It seems to read ~ a day behind..... My car landed in NY today..I cannot wait for it to get to NH......:) GreenThree 03-04-2008, 11:24 PM OK thanks. I assume I can get the VIN number from the 800 number or the BMW OC online? marc1119 03-05-2008, 07:02 AM OK thanks. I assume I can get the VIN number from the 800 number or the BMW OC online? I bet this is the part where there are hundreds of cars in front of mine waiting to get on a boat... I just tried the VIN in the link you gave me and no dice. Maybe I will try again next week. marc1119 03-05-2008, 03:01 PM Thanks. I bet this is the part where there are hundreds of cars in front of mine waiting to get on a boat... Yes..My car got to the terminal for shipping and sat there for 10 days before it got on a boat....there were 1765 BMWs on the boat, so they must need to get a boatload before they go.. It takes 13 days over the water to get to NJ..but the tracking system stinks...My car didn't show it was on a boat until 2 days after the boat left.. My car is now off the baot since yesterday, but still shows on the boat.. My dealer SAYS I should have it in ~a week, has to go through customs, prep center and then to dealer..So figure ~ 20 days from the day it gets on a boat.. I find it was easier and more accurate to track the "voyage number" than the VIN number..Example my voyage number was EA807-MAN...... You will get that info , once it gets on a boat.. Good Luck..the wait is killing me...I have a slew of AA performance parts waiting to install on this car...
