Hi guys... I have a 2001- 325i wagon that has the following symptoms.. by my mechanic, is really weird and i trully don't have the money to take it to the dealer.. ok.. so out of the blue one day the car started trowing a loooot of white smog.. then it got jerky, and then it got really slow like 40mph max.. i drove it to my mechanic and he read the codes..
two of the cylinders had a fire mistmatch (?) .. reason.. wet spark plugs..
he changed the oil, the filter and the spark pplugs.. remaining white smog he figures is just residual from the engine being burnt.. BUT.. it happened again..
now ..

the engine has excelent compression BUT
the car trows white smog
jerky and is failing
ALL cylinder heads are getting wet with oil..
the oil is coming FRom inside the hole where the spark plug is.. not the valve gasket.

what do you guys think.. is like.. its sucking oil into the cylinders from somewhere.. my mech is trying the PCV valve now see if it makes a difference.. other than that..? blown Head? rings?

White smoke from an engine at normal operating temperatures is usually a sign of coolant leaking into a cylinder. If the engine were burning oil the smoke would be distinctly blue. And, coolant leaking into a cylinder(s) can cause misfires.

The most common cause of this is damage to the head gasket or head as a result of an overheat. If that has happened in the past the chances of this beiing a head/gasket problem go way up.
