A picture of my SG...just wondering who else out there loves this color!

It's funny how everyone has their own favorites when it comes to colors. I was at the dealership yesterday and the was a SG outside his office. I told him I wouldn't take that color at 50% off. I think it is so drab and underwhelming, and it doesn't stand out at all on the road b/c half the cars I see are silver or shades of gray. No offense to the thread starter, everyone has their preference, I just thought it was ironic to see this thread the day after I said that to the salesperson.

Very nice! I almost went for Alpine White but when I saw the SG/black interior combo...I was sold....

It looks better in the sun, but in low light it's purplish and sort of flat. But lots of cars are in that color so people like it!

So, did you buy it? At 50% off I mean.

I think it's an awesome color, specifically if you are tired of black and silver. Would have gone well with my Terra. I went AW, but I am waffling and if there were a 6 speed SG on the lot or even on anyone's lot that they could trade I probably would have done it vs. waiting on the boat!

It is also my 1st choice! I am seriously considering a new wagon, it will be in SG with Sport Package, manual shift and heated seats; or replace my 02 Passat V6 speed with another. No AWD in either. Up here in the Northeast I have to order the BMW to get it without AWD, and can't find any used BMW wagons configured the way I want.

Just ordered a 2008 BMW 328xi Sedan in SG color :). i saw the color in the showroom. loved it. i love white cars tho. hope i won't regret getting this color.. picking up my car end of april. i will post pictures up after my vacation

I like this color b/c it is so drab, and wont stand out. The montego(sp) is my fav color, but too flashy to actually buy imho

In my sig. I bought this 1.5 years ago and had few choices. No problem cause this is by far the best color for me. It's even cooler when my matching LTW D-force wheels are on. No pics of that but will be at the track on Momday with 'em on so I'll try to get pics.

I think it's a great color. Sure Lexus and Infiniti and Acura have a similar color but I don't think it has the same depth. I will say the Mercedes graphite metallic color is as good or better though.

My mothers 2006 BMW had HID lights as well so i'm assuming it was an option. My car has the premium pkg and the sports pkg so maybe HID lights are included in one of those pkgs?

Beautiful photos....but why don't you guys put your fog lights on in those headlight shots? Sorry, I'm a freak on fog lights. I wish they'd go on automatically when the headlights go on, but I turn them on manually, every time.

hahaha, so I am not the only freak out there. I even put my parking lights and foglights around dusk, I like the reflections on the back of the cars in front of me ;).

Looks like Ravnet and Playon's guy use the same parking garage for their photos. That is the cleanest-looking garage floor I've ever seen!

Mryakan, YES, I do the same thing with the reflection, even with the DRL's on. In fact, those DRL "halos" (or whatever they're called) were the thing that really put the BMW 3-series over the top for me. I had already seen and admired the coupe. Then, I was on I-95 coming back from FL on a nice sunny day, and what is behind me but a coupe with those AWESOME DRLs. Ahhh, so eye-catching and aggressive! I just had to have it.

So yeah, when I take photos of mine, the DRLs and fogs will be on. Love 'em! (I've just got to find that garage as a backdrop....)

ETA: I noticed the window tinting in Playon's photos. My son (29) just saw my car for the first time this weekend and immediately suggested I get the windows tinted. I told him I didn't think that would fly with the lease and all. But man, it looks good!

I think you should be ok lease wise if they are legal tints done properly and not scratched, but they will probably need to get you to do a full inspection instead of the self inspect option.
