Too bad it'd overheat on you in the middle of the desert and you'd die.

Didn't know KBB rated salvage titled cars.

Didn't know KBB rated salvage titled cars.

Didn't know it was your job to make pointless statements. If you're looking for a bmw to replace your civic, you should be a bit more polite. If an inexpensive, salvaged car is not right for you, move on!

The car is salvaged, I have discounted it accordingly. As a member, I think you should understand that instead of being ignorant/immature.

Didn't know KBB rated salvage titled cars.

As a matter of fact they don't, not that I can tell anyway. But what's great is that the seller decided to use an estimate in his ad that has nothing to do with his car, and then try to slam you for it when you called him on it, like you screwed up. Great idea because being a dick is the best way to sell your car.

So, Rated, instead of slamming the guy for making an observation, please amend your description with something like "if it was a clean titled car, kbb would value it around 9 k."

Oh, and by the way, a 1998 BMW 3 Series 328is Coupe 2D (auto, with 98000mi) is:
Excellent $7,850
Good $7,225
Fair $6,425

That really doesn't look like above 9k like your description said.

All that said, it looks like this is a pretty good deal on this particular car, though I'd thoroughly recommend a professional inspection before a purchase. So, bump.

Hugs and kisses,
TheStain

dennisjai could've said it in a less derogatory fashion. enough said.

in my zip, the car w/ 98k is 8800 in excellent condition however i have quoted the 100k odo reading since its getting close. Perhaps the zip code makes a difference, cars may be cheaper in Maryland than California.

In either case, I thank you for your input.

East Coast cars are always cheaper than West Coast. One reason why is most Southern California doesn't snow--therefore little to no rust.

RatedM has been completely honest in his description and down to the point. No reason to badger him about the salvage title, as he clearly lists, "This car was issued a salvage title, therefore the price has been listed accordingly." anyone buying this car would (I hope) obviously know that the KBB values he is listing is for non-salvage titled vehicles. Salvage titles can vary and the reasoning for salvage titles effectively change the value of the vehicle(s) in question. How stupid does the average buyer have to be that he doesn't do his homework beforehand? :rolleyes

Seems like everyone jumps the gun at the seller. Why does everyone have a chip on their shoulder and nitpick apart minuscule details that are blatantly described? What more does he have to do? :banghead:

Bump for a pretty ride. Wish I could buy it for a fixer. :cool

Why does the paint look like it's painted with a spray can?

Was the whole car repainted by someone, as it doesn't look stock what-so-ever?

Im assuming that the car was repainted previously because its so perfect. The pics were taken with my iphone, it doesnt have the resolution capabilities of actual digital cameras such as the one used to take your signature pic. it was also a very dark/gloomy afternoon.

Thanks
