The brake pedal doesn't return to the top of its range after braking...especially during the first hour or so of driving.
I end-up using my right foot on top of the pedal to push it towards the floor and then must use my left foot behind the pedal to lift it back to its starting position.

I've been told that this may be caused by a defective brake switch or brake booster.

I'm not familiar with these parts but would like to look into how much time and money would be involved in doing these repairs myself vs. going to a shop or the dealer.

Would someone please let me know:
* Does the diagnosis of this issue seem reasonable/plausable?
* The exact part numbers which may be involved in this repair.
* The approximate procedure and amount of time required to do this repair.

Thanks a ton, in advance for any expertise you can share with me on this issue!
