I to must sadly part with my M3. It's been too short of a time together and I have loved it even more than my recently departed 99 M3.

Bought a new house that resembles that house in "Fight Club" and I cannot/wouldnot dare putting 2x4's from the truck down into the passenger wheel well. A truck is on my horizon and I am letting my M go for damn near my loan amount.

So, here it is, 2005 Carbon Black, 31,300 miles as of today. Never had any issues (I just bought it in late August). I worked from home for 4 months after I bought it so I have put very few miles on it at all given the exception of highway miles to Savannah and Atlanta for job interviews and house shoppping.
This is a light-weight and fast car (no power seats, no sunroof...frills anyway that I have not missed for 1 second).
It does have Nav, heated seats, sport mode, tires have 90% left.
What else...oh, I am the second owner and the original owner took delivery in Germany (he was apparently military and did not put many miles on it while stationed over there). It has the cool German roadside assistance kit in the trunk...cant understand what it says as it is all in German anyway.

No dents, no dings, babied and always serviced. It has a warranty until 50K miles and/or 10/09.

Since I am letting it go for basically what I owe, I am going to be pretty firm on the price of $36,800. Way below KBB.

Well, to answer the questions I have seen so far...
No SMG. Despite how cool it seemed, I have driven an open-wheeled racecar with a true dog and tooth engaged seq. gearbox and I just dont think I'd ever be satisfied even with one from BMW.

The interior is Anthracite. Rockin look that I love...darn I hate to let this thing go.

I thought the M cloth insert seat options and the no-moonroof, were not available after the MY 2002. You said it is an MY 05, right??

I have an MY 05 E46 m3 (original owner) and could not get the "lightweight" version that I wanted anymore when I was shopping around - especially the sunroof/cloth seats options...

Also, didn't know you could have heated manual seats. Heated seats were part of the premium package, which included full power seats with lumbard support alt-settings as well (which the manual seats do not have).

BTW, finally my first post, although have registered for more than half a year!

I am not sure when the cloth insert thing stopped, however, I know mine is an 05 and has manual heated seats (see the pic showin the stick...you can see the little buttons for it)...besides, my butt tells me its there!

Wish they would be able to determine all the options from the VIN. Wouldn't that make sense?

I should've taken a photo of the German road flare kit thingy in the trunk that comes with vehicles taking delivery in the Fatherland.

Chrome?
There is not one piece of chrome in the car. Side vents outside the car and kidneys maybe. The trim is Anthracite...which is so black it is anti-chrome.

Yes, I am sure. The angle of the photo doesn't clearly show the LEDs.
