View Full Version : **ICS Performance GT35R Turbocharged M3 FOR SALE**
Bigsalgt 03-01-2008, 06:04 PM With the introduction of another build possibility, I have decided to post a feeler thread for my 1997 BMW M3! Let me be the first to say, this has not been an easy decision and have no issues with keeping the vehicle until I am old and gray, however for the correct price, anything is/can be for sale! Hellrot Red with Modena interior starts this discription, 51,000 original miles, no accidents, Luxury Package 1997 BMW M3. All original equipment is completely functional, from the heated seats right down to the air conditioning, the vehicle maintains all OEM functions! Vehicle has been and still is dealer maintained by Orange County BMW in the Hudson Valley of New York State! All scheduled services have been completed and many more. Every fluid has been serviced with Mobil 1 synthetic more times then recommended during it's two year ownership. Vehicle has passed all New York State Inspection requirements. Build start date began on 02/10/2007 with a Stage 1 turbocharger kit and was recently upgraded by ICS Performance to a Stage 2 setup. The build parts are as follows:

a32guy 03-06-2008, 01:34 PM Wow this is a VERY clean example of an M3. Beautiful car, I would have asked more!
Good luck with the sale!
obnoxious2 03-06-2008, 01:40 PM Sexy car. Is 440 rwhp running at max psi? Cause I thought with a gt35r, you'd be pushing atleast 500 rwhp.
Good luck with the sale!
95RogueM3 03-06-2008, 04:20 PM Beautiful car. I too am surprised on the price.
Sexy car. Is 440 rwhp running at max psi? Cause I thought with a gt35r, you'd be pushing atleast 500 rwhp.
A T3 GT35R can push in excess of 550whp. He is running it at an acceptable max boost for his stock bottom end.

Thank you for the kind words! Your M3 isn't too shabby itself :D!

A GT3582R can handle much more then 15PSI, which achieved the 440RWHP mark. Nick G.'s tuning is the best, period! An S52 with headgasket alone, no methanol injection, should not be ran with more then a bar of boost! This is to insure durability/longevity out of the headgasket and avoid future problems. The vehicle is driven with 12 PSI, this achieved the 420RWHP mark!

Thank you for the compliments! I will have to disagree though, the stock bottom end can handle much more boost then 15PSI. With methanol injection and headgasket applications, 500 RWHP can be achieved on the stock bottom end without any issues. My vehicle is running no where near it's max boost potential!

I meant streetable/reliable. The only S52 I know of breaking the 500whp mark on the stock rods while having some reliability (not bending a rod within 1k miles or less) is George's MCoupe.
Mike R. ran his for awhile (though Im not sure at what boost level) before bending a rod at 604whp with C16 and Alky Injection.
Bottom Line: Yes, this car can boost to a "forum accepted" 17psi before you risk bending the rods at higher boost levels (18+ psi). So, yes if you can make 500whp on 17psi..the motor will take it (based upon your numbers you should be making 500whp @ 17psi)
Armo95 03-06-2008, 06:14 PM Beautiful car, good luck with the sale.
Schneller Bayer 03-06-2008, 06:57 PM Have you done any suspension work? For such a powerful car, it looks like it sits a little high.
TheForgotten 03-06-2008, 07:16 PM I seriously wish I had another ten grand, I would pick this up in an instant. Good luck with the sale mate!
Bigsalgt 03-06-2008, 07:20 PM The only S52 I know of breaking the 500whp mark on the stock rods while having some reliability (not bending a rod within 1k miles or less) is George's MCoupe.
From what I understand and know, George's M-Coupe is on all stock internals, OEM original parts! No internal engine parts have been swapped nor changed during it's ownership by ICS Performance! Those numbers are on a headgasket, that is all! I'm not sure if you were stating this or that the vehicles internals were changed at some point!
Beautiful car, good luck with the sale.
Thank you sir, very nice E39 M5!

OEM suspension, handles and performs flawlessly, even at this power level!

When do you get full spool?
2000-2500 RPM or so!
PocketPlayer 03-07-2008, 03:01 PM My buddy just bought a Toyota for about $27...yeah it's new, but this car over a Toyota? No brainer!
Money really is in the eye of the beholder. IMO...worth spending more for high quality from a strong seller. Cars like this make me smile!
When man puts his head together,

Thank you, very well said! I agree, there are used vehicles out there that are much more desired then new vehicles!
Hot car, great mods, AMAZING PRICE.
Thank you, I agree as well, it is a very reasonable price!
HitTheNameIsBJ 03-07-2008, 11:02 PM Yea I think my buddy Anthony (Lunch) knows ya he lives in Newcastle, used to have a blue five point slow. By the way that thing is gorgeous.

PathosRx 03-13-2008, 12:10 AM Yes sir, you most likely have seen it!
2000-2500 RPM or so!
I've been in the very first GT35R powered E36 that ICS produced. It was called "The Black Monster" or "Nick the Greek's" car. That vehicle ran the same exact turbo as yours, and it did not reach full boost or "spool" below 3200 rpm.

In 5th gear it will. ;)
PathosRx 03-13-2008, 12:45 AM In 5th gear it will. ;)
True George took me out in a 3rd and 4th gear roll on city streets. But it still shouldn't reach full spool below 2500 rpm even in 5th gear with a 2.93 rear end. Unless you have evidence to support the contrary ... hint ...
Bigsalgt 03-16-2008, 08:56 PM I would post a video, however my camera is not working since my girlfriend dropped it! For those interested, anyone is more then welcome to check out the vehicle, full inspections are invited! I can't comment on the very first GT35R equipped M3 that ICS Performance produced. Different boost controllers, turbocharger hotside A/R's, exhaust manifolds, T3 or T4 housings, engine compression ratio's etc., all effect how and when a turbocharger spools! PM for anymore questions.
flamehead860 03-22-2008, 04:27 AM Hey, what kind of wheels and tires are those, they look like 18's
Bigsalgt 03-22-2008, 08:39 PM They are 18's! BMW Type 47 replicas with BMW center caps! Mint, no blemishes what so ever! Taking reasonable offers at this point, many interested buyers but not a new owner. Inspections are invited, all orginal paint, 51,000 original miles, built by the best BMW performance shop! Mint in every sense of the word. Contact me via phone (845)-629-1360.
BlackHawkRacing 03-25-2008, 01:01 PM Just wanna say that your car is amazing and if for some reason its still available in late may i just may buy it. But ya free up for a SICK car
bmw e36 m3 03-28-2008, 11:54 AM amazing car
Bigsalgt 04-06-2008, 06:07 PM ^^ Thank you sir!
AlphaWolf5 04-06-2008, 06:17 PM Very nice and clean interior and the color combo I have been shopping for. What's the best offer so far?
Bigsalgt 04-06-2008, 09:27 PM Best offer so far was $22,000 over the phone and through email! The vehicle has to be seen in person to understand and driven to fall in love! Offers are welcome, however unless a potential buyer is fully aware of what goes into any F/I build, $22,000 for an ICS vehicle, with this mileage, condition, and options, it's not enough to let this vehicle go.
slcook54 04-07-2008, 02:36 AM Sal, not happy with you. Good luck buddy. :stickoutt
