I'm looking into leasing a Montego Blue e90 328xi, possibly through ED.

Before I get into the European Delivery numbers crunching, I want to make sure I have it down with the standard leasing. I've always financed before, but I've always had to commute a lot more too. The hospital I'm "home based" at for the next 2 years or so is a 2-3 minute drive from where I live. (It's within walking distance)

Here are the options I'd equip:
Metallic Paint, Dakota Leather, ZSP, CWP, HD Radio/Logic 7, Bluetooth, BMW Assist, Park Distance, Xenons

MSRP: $43,525
Sale price: $41,065 ($1000 over invoice)
Down payment: $2,500
Security deposit: $500
Acquisition fee: $775
Registration: $490
PA sales tax: 6.00%
Residual: 71%
Money factor: February rate - 0.00175

4.20% interest rate (calculated from money factor)
12,000 miles/year
24 month lease term

Monthly depreciation: $254.89
Monthly interest: $118.86
Base payment: $373.75
Total monthly payment: $396.18
Total lease cost: $12,647.96

Did I miscalculate anything? Does this sound like a good deal?

You haven't bought a car yet? You've been asking about deals for as long as I remember. Take the plunge already, we can't take the suspense anymore :stickoutt.

Haha no, because I'm trying to sell my car privately... I don't feel like getting screwed on the trade in..

Do what I did, buy the new car then sell the other one.

I thought I replied to this from the Blackberry about 9 hours ago.. I just checked and I got a server error.

Selling it that way is an option too, but how long did it take you to sell yours? Also, how did you end up selling it? (ad on your window, craigslist, newspaper, autotrader, etc)

1. Why do you want a non Audi AWD?
2. If you are going to spend $41-43,500 get the 335xi, it comes with more standard options than the 328xi
3. You could save yourslef ALOT of money and walk to work!
4. The monthly payment sounds like a good deal but not sure Total out of pocket what you are putting down.

On my 328xi I just ordered: Total $2500 down. 3 year, 15k mi/year lease, $500 total monthly pymt including tax. MSRP $40,770. Sales price was $38,770. Invoice was $38,200.

1a. The only Audi dealership within an hour and a half of here is completely shady.
1b. If I got one I'd be looking at A4s, and I wasn't a big fan of the test drive. I enjoyed the IS250s and XI models much more.
2. I'll have to look into that and start adding their numbers to my spreadsheets.
3a. What fun would that be?
3b. That would kinda suck on the days where I had to report to the hospital that's 6 miles away or the one that is roughly 55 miles away..
4. I don't have the spreadsheet with me right now (it's on the laptop) but if I remember correctly it was a little under $3500 out of pocket.

I was strictly looking at 3 year leases first, but the more I think about it the more the 2 year lease makes more sense to me. When I was home based at the hospital that was 6 miles away I considered the 15k mile, but I should be fine with the 12k. In my minimal case scenario I'm looking at 2400 miles of commuting for the year. (Still have to factor in occasional trips to the other 2 hospitals) In the maximum case scenario, I'd be looking at 9600 probably.

Did you test drive the 3.2 A4 Quattro? Test drive an A3 3.2 S Line if the A4 diddnt do it for you. I also test drove an Infinity G35X. But it wasnt a German. Not trying to discourage you from a BMW. Hell, thats the way I went! Just offering alternatives. Yea, spreadsheet the 335XI. I did not go with it because I did not want to spend the extra $3-5K. If you are in the $41-43K range, you wont be able to get all the options you are looking at, but you will be able to get metallic, auto and maybe one other. Plus a kick ass engine!

Plus more tickets. :stickoutt jk... I'll look into it, thanks for the input.

And yeah, it was the 3.2 A4 Quattro... I wasn't overly impressed with it. It was decent, but I just liked the IS250 and 328XI more.

Not JK. 335xi for me would equal more tickets! Your welcome. Yea the A3 is a sportback which is in a different class then the sedan. But its almost as fast as an S4 or 335xi :)

Yea, I loved the 328xi, which is why I could not resist from ordering one!!!

Took a while, 3 months I believe after I 1st posted it on Auto Trader (both in print and online). What sucked is that I sold it right after I renewed my posting for a month which cost well over 100$, but hey it worked. The worst thing though is the number of people who came to testdrive it, drove me nuts with their questions and then never hear from them again. Even one guy had me go to his mechanic to do an inspection only for the mechanic to make me wait so long that I ended up picking a fight with him and leaving. That is one reason I may not own anymore and just go from lease to lease just so I never have to deal with this hassle again.

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to that headache. That's also why I might stick to leasing for the next couple terms. Maybe down the road financing will make sense again, but right now I'm in the mindset of wanting something new every 2 years.

Just to let you know in PA you pay sales tax on the lease payment and it is a hefty 9%. And I grew up in W-B and now live in Hanover Twp.

Still much better than the 13% we pay .

BeerGoggles just suggested this link. http://www.leaseguide.com/calc.htm
I just plugged in my info with approximate money factor and not knowing residual. The calculator works well.

Seriously? lol that's crazy... My dad lives in Hanover Township, I'm in Hanover Township a lot. I didn't think I'd see anyone on here from Dallas or Kingston, let alone Hanover. Small world...
