Well here's the story, I bought this car with a bad head gasket a while back, pulled the head and found it cracked. Bought a low mileage used motor & installed that. Had been an awesome DD for quite some time.

Today the car started overheating on the highway, it never hit red! I shut it off long before that happened, checked the cooling system and found it full, no oil in the antifreeze or vise versa. I believe it to be a thermostat / water pump issue, as these motors are known for that.

Anyways, I've been wanting something new, kinda tired of bmw's since I work on them every single day, and just bought a new car today.

I've got a lot of receipts with the car, changed out a lot of random things while I was doing the motor. The oil has changed every month (I get it free as a BMW Tech, so why not?) Also throw in a gallon of the BMW blue antifreeze ($25) ... maybe two gallons, how about some BMW brake fluid too :-)

But yeah, amazing car, heated seats work great, smooth going down the road, lots of tire left.

Only other issues I've noticed are - rotors warped (vibration while breaking)...doesn't bother me since all I do is highway driving, and it could use a new engine idle valve (surges at idle & check engine light on) ... again doesn't bother me since the car never sits at idle. Car does have some rust as the pictures should show. Spare is new, however there is no jack or lug wrench, probably be able to find you one in my garage. Might want to replace the radiator, leaks a little during cool down, this happens due to the plastic construction and the rate of expansion during cool down, I top it off once a month and it's only lost a 1/4 of the expansion tank...not a big deal to me, cant smell it, doesn't burn off. Some rust on the vehicle, seams pretty typical from what I see of the earlier E36

One really nice thing about the car is the interior! Most of these that I see are all fagged out, this interior is very nice. Onboard computer is not burned out, works very well.

Mods-
Kenwood CD Player
Sirrius Radio
BMW 7 (E65) glass mat battery
Crazy ground strap (had an isue with the factory one)

Will include the old motor, many good parts still on it, keep it or ebay the parts for $, do have all the engine covers, was too lazy to put them back on

But yeah, great car with great potential, Just going back to my scooby roots

This car will go for BEST OFFER!
