I understand owning my 2002 M3 was a huge step up and its not a car to go cheap on... but is it necessary to put coil overs in? I love the ride of the car the way it is, plus I'm having a problem with horrible roads where I'm living and driving. I was thinking just Lowering springs...:devillook Nothing crazy, just a H&R kit off of tire rack.com with something like the average drop of 1.2" Front and .5" Rear. Do I need to buy anything else if I get the springs to make it adjust accordingly with the wheel alignment? Does anyone recamend H&R or if not who has had good luck with something else? Thanks

I had a 04 m3 and I just purchased an 02. For performance, best bang for the buck is the anti-roll bar change out. I still recommend the dinan b/c their the best quality and unlike their other parts, the price isn't inflated b/c of the name. Purchased / installed you would be under $450 bucks. What I noticed in appearance was more of a wedge look, side by side with 19"s the car appears lower in the front and gives an improved stance. (I should have kept pics from the dealer). Anyway. You would want to do both if you are considering a sprint /shock replacement so why not try that as your first step. It may give you the look you want. I'm not a big fan of throwing away the stock suspension which is very good for a suspension that is the same just rides an 1" lower...THe HR is fine, but same quality as stock, just lower.

In terms of driving, you will notice a significant difference with the anti-sways, I argue per dollar a bigger difference than a shock/spring replacement b/c what you already have is good. Spend the other 1800 bucks on other goodies like exhaust note, under-drive pulleys, etc.

Just my thoughts, best of luck with your choice.

you dont need coilovers unless you are racing...hence them being adjustable
