sad story nonetheless. i hope every thing works out for the vesa driver.


since this incident happened recently, i dont recommend a bunch of bmw's making the drive up there on the 16th, it will probably be heavily populated with law enforcement or whatnot. i just dont feel like getting hassled with tickets.

Keep the Highway 9 run. As long as you aren't being stupid the cops won't hassle you and most importantly you won't create a dangerous situation for the numerous other cars, bikes, scooters and cyclists that share the road with you.

There are accidents up there every weekend. Three guys got helivac'ed from Skyline a few weeks back. Another guy was helivac'ed from La Honda a couple weeks before that. And there have been at least a few people crashing every week between that. Local law enforcement and CHP are aware of this yet they won't give you a hard time unless you ask for it.
