so this new kid at school has a 91 325i vert that looks pretty good and i have a 91 318is that looks pretty good. well we were both cruising down the freeway just now and i heard him downshift, so i did the same and bam, i took off like a rocket just walking all over him. i dont know if my car has anything done to it as i just bought it, but it has stock exhaust, stock everything. so i was just thinking, you know, its cause its a vert and weighs more. but i still beat it.

318's never loose. You should've known that already, it could be programmed in the ecu somewhere, no?

if it had a chip wouldnt the rev limiter be higher or gone. i know it doesnt have a speed governor though as ive taken it up to 140 when i first got it. but yeah i know 318's never lose, i keep up with my buddys chipped e36 just fine even and blow by my brothers stock e36. ones a 4 door and one is a 325is.

Is there a thin slightly yellow-red film on the engine? Yeah that's residual plasma from the dried on rubbed down cheetah blood block rebuild. You're looking at 0-60 times of about 4 flat.

but the 325 has lower gears, so it wont pick up speed as quick. im sure if we had the room on the freeway he would have came back around after i was topped out.
