This harness was assembled with genuine BMW electrical components and is wrapped in the same black cloth tape just like all other BMW wire harnesses. Just to clarify, since I'm getting confused responses, this is the TV wire harness ONLY and allows you to plug a TV module (or other video input module) into your factory navigation system.
I put this together based on wiring diagrams found on another message board. However, at the time i didn't realize that for the BM53 radio the audio connections are different for the TV module. I tested this harness, and it worked except for the TV audio, and it should work if you have the pre-2002 radio.
Life/work got busy and I didn't have time to deal with this so I bought the correct harness from bimmernav for about $200. Now, I'd like to pass this on to someone who can make use of it. To make it work on a BM53, you'll need to add two more wires that connect to the radio white subconnector on pins 11 & 12. It will work as is if you have the pre-2002 radio.
I'd like to get $50 shipped within continental US vis USPS. Thanks for looking.
