Was going to go to Sunnapee this Saturday but plans fell through. Anyone going riding this weekend? I can ski or ride... Would be willing to carpool/transport anyone local that's carless or too broke to pay for gas... As long as you'll ride in an Accord :embarrasm

Will not buy your lift ticket tho:nono

not that you see my highly beat up getting older by the minute ass hitting the money booter or anything anymore, but I have to say that my foils are best all around ski I've ever had.

carve like a bastard, soft enough for the bumps, floats in the west coast POW, stiff enough for the NE hardpack. Best damn all around ski. And that's coming from a past gate chaser that was married to fischer.

how far is loon from boston? ganja in the gondola FTW!!! (i can't anymore bc of work)

If I go Megan will be with me - she used to run gates at Okemo so she skis faster than me

Hour to Manch then another Hour to loon (averaging 70-80mph).

Just straight up 93 to exit 32 in northern NH.

lifts open at 8am. I'll be there around then. There is the TJX briefcase race saturday that I may or may not participate in. I have a bunch of my old seasonal kids that usually drag me into the race.

an okemo gate chaser eh? would you like to borrow my stokli's to keep up? 182cm GS ridiculousness from a formerly sponsored friend of mine - most AMAZING race ski I've ever been on. But they usually sit unless I'm trying to chase after that friend when we ski together. Make any snow feel like buttah'.

She ski raced in HS with OMS (okemo mountain school) but did not race in college @ UVM. I grew up skiing bumps, ariels & acro (ski ballet) at waterville. I am what people call a slow skiier until I get in the bumps or trees. My little 163 elan all mountain skis just dont keep up with a stiffer high performanc/entry race ski.

I'll talk with the gf and see when she'll get her a$$ out of bed Sat am but I'm in.

If you wanna come to VT, I'm looking out the window at a foot or freshie powdaaaaa. After I'm done this Philisophly class. I'm going to Smuggs (Smugglers Notch) for those unaware. I go to Stowe and Bolton also. Freestyle comp. every wends night at Bolton. Its sweet

don't feel bad about being slow. 9 time out of 10 I'm on my 150cm slalom "cheater" skis or some shorty 158cm twin tips.

It's just that 1 out of 10 times that I throw those Stoklis on and go fast.

But that's SO DAMN FAR!!!

I'm a smuggs fan though. I think the old school no frills areas like smuggs, mad river, and jay. But after a trip to Tremblant a couple weekends ago I'm staying local for a little while.

At least until spring when killington = corn + soft VW sized bumps

bahaha I am going to the loaf this weekend. Leaving friday and coming home sunday. Scored 6 lift tickets and 3 $35 vouchers for 150 bucks :buttrock. Going up with a couple buddies. Ended up costing us 106 each for 2 nights, 2 days of skiing, and 2 of us renting :alright Should be some madness

w/as much snow as NH & VT have been getting lately I'd be stupid not to go sooner than later. although i just got back from utah and i really don't want to spoil the memories of flowing thru the lightest pow u've ever seen...anyways we should definitely have an NE meet at the mountain or something.

i'm a big fan of stratton and mt. snow, killington too. seems like most of u are from NH, i like waterville a lot and would like to hit that up. any boarders or are all of u 2 plankers:help

we were just given 4tix to ragged mtn today. Not the best hill but free so I cant complain - especially since my bro's fiance will be tagging along & I got the "will you teach me to ski" question today...

Working in the industry, being PSIA 2 & such sometimes has its drawbacks...

Enjoy Loon & skiing... I'll be on the effing bunny hill all day

I know its far, but its worth it. It's still snowing right now and has been since the last time I posted. It's actually been snowing here since Monday. Tonight I even met a bunch of local German car guys. One had a white e30 very similar to my own, Thule and all. They all work at the "Higher Ground" its a local concert place. Some may know of it.... I will never again be "asked to leave" because of intoxication again. Score!

yeah yeah. I having some scopage action on the right one March 31, thinking of putting it off so I don't miss soft spring bumps as there will be plenty this year!

free, eh? funny thing is that the extra gas in my iX would pay for a lift ticket at a mountain closer to home!

Ive got a season pass to loon and im usually up every weekend... but im not going this weekend. The park is awsome right now and the hot moms in the bar are even better.
warmup runs + a few drinks = money booter time

UPDATE: I am at the loaf right now, and it is beyond amazing. Snowstorm dumped a foot of powder on the mountain today. Can't wait to go agsin tomorrow when its all groomed:alright. Unforunately, the snowfields on the summit are closed, but it's still the best ski trip I have ever been on

The conditions at Loon on Sunday were amazing, although it was nearly impossible to get enough speed for the jumps. There was a ton of untouched powder in the woods. Last run of the day I strained/sprained my knee on a snowmaking line off the side of a trail.

I left Waltham, MA at 6:30am on Saturday arriving at Loon at 9:00am. 2.5 hours in a snowstorm in my E30 iX and i was awesome!

I went to go buy a ticket and wouldn't you know the person at the counter was someone I knew!! Can we say free? I didn't even ask, she made a face at me when I tried to give her my credit card.

So here I am at 9am, the mountain was open since 8am and EVERYTHING was tracked out. Did this suck? NO NO NO! It as AWESOME. It was like skiing Mary Jane (at winterpark) the WHOLE mountain was covered in BUMPS!!! Soft, all sizes, on every trail, stashes in the woods, stashes on the sides of the trails and NO lines!!!

No one knew how to ski it with their atomics and volkls and other stiff boards that are made to carve and only carve. Me and my foils were all over that shiznit. One of the BEST days that I can remember.

Today went to Gunstock with the gf and it was perfects groomers all over and then a nice long bump run when she called it quits.

Some of the most amazing conditions I've seen in NH in a LONG LONG time. Looks like surgery is being put off past March 31 as I'm now itching to hit the big headwall at tucks this year...!!!

+1... Skiing was amazing, trees were the sh*t, bumps everywhere, no lines, we got a ton of fresh but it was snowing so much that you really didn't know what was skied on or not.

NEbf.c Tucks trip???? I haven't been in about 3 years but i've been itching to do it again! Gotta get up there early because by second run its more dangerous to climb up than to ski down!

Anyone have a house up there?
