Not sure on how much you've read on the Nik/Alu stuff but...

I'd do Whit Lowell's 540 every day of the week and twice on Sunday, because you know it will be sorted out and has a good Alusil. Ship it out to SoCal.

yea, like i can afford that, besides ive already talked myself out of those two cars, the first ones paint isnt that great, and the second one, the front door and the back door seem to be diffrent colors, tells me it was in an accedent and someone did a shiznity job.

So you have delt with his car personaly? And im not to sure how my dad would go over with having the car shipped out. prolly wouldnt be too happy.

from what i have seen on this forum, lowell seems to know just about everything about e34s and is also a super good mechanic, so i'd probably trust any of his cars

for the extra time and money to get whits car I personally think it would be saved in future problems and ease of mind. fly out drive it back or just ship it. I looked at shipping a car to me in Iowa from NY and it was only around $500

how long do you think it would take to ship, becuase at 500 dallars, thats about 4900 dallars after tax and license.

IIRC it was like 10 days or something like that from the time they picked it up till the time I could get it.

Just fly out and drive it home. I went to Florida to get mine, you'll be looking forward to the time you get to spend in your new car. Especially a 540 on the highway.
