Ok, here is another couple small runs. I am sure that these types of stories have been posted. But I thought I would throw in my experience with these two cars.

My friend wanted to go check out a car in another town, so my wife and I thought we would tag along and drive my M. It's fun to drive somewhere with a friend(s) who have bimmers also. Anyway, I stop at a light and a very nice looking Audi pulls up next to me. Dark tinited windows, so I couldn't tell who was driving it and at this point I had no clue that it is an S4. I honestly figured it was a 1.8T or something like that. I don't really know much about Audi's I will admit. At the light he was inching forward a little bit. I figured he would just go nuts when the light turned green but hoping that he wouldn't as I still don't use my launch control. So the light turns and I take off pretty normal and noticed he kept pace with me, so but the time we crossed the intersection I floored it and so did he. Through 1st and 2nd gear we were neck and neck. I was feeling pretty down as like I stated above, I thought it was a 1.8T or something like that :(. By the time I shifted to 3rd I started to pull away and by the end of 3rd I shut down and hit my brakes as I was going fast enough somewhere around 85ish or so. When I did he was maybe 1-1.5 CL behind me. I felt relief by now. He kept going and I noticed a white STi/WRX was right with him followed by my friend who has a 325i with mods including juice.

So, next light, there was a pick-up truck in the left lane along with my friend and in the right lane was the S4 first, then the Sti/WRX and I was third. Kind of sucks having to start out like this. That is when I noticed the STi/WRX had new temp tags on. Let me mention this now, I don't know if the WRX was a STi or not however, the car had red Brembo brakes and the car was white with a newer headlights and no big spoiler. Back to the story, the light turns green and the S4 took off not too fast, but faster then normal. Once the STi/WRX got past the truck it switched lanes and the S4 and WRX/STi went at it. Once I had room to switch lanes I did and took off. I caught up to the two nearing 100+. I had to get off the gas and once the WRX/STi moved over in front of the S4 I kept going. Neither of the two could keep up. I shut down right after I shifted to 6th. The two were about 3 CL's away. No cars anywhere in front and I could have kept going but figured I better not as I was going fast enough. The WRX/STi passed and kept going to the next light and the S4 kept pace with me. He and I both exchanged respect at the next light. That is when I noticed it was a S4 and the light went on in my head. From there the two took off and I never saw them again. It was fun. Ok, like usual, I am sure there will be some flaming going on....so let the games begin!

For those who want a quick outcome, M3 is surprisingly beats all. At least this round, I am sure there are MANY cars who will make me look like a Honda.

I know there are always someone who is faster, but I wait to see those Honda's you are talking about. Anyone can make anything fast, I like personally like to see stock vs stock. Honda's are nice and all, I used to have a few but they are not a car with a good mix of performance and luxury right off the showroom floor.

Look up civic hatches on you tube if you want to see how fast they can be some have 400+ FWHP its getting it on the floor thats the problem...lots of suspension mods and prob expensive tires.

It probably was an STI or at least a pretty seriously modded WRX if it was in contention against you and the S4.

You can get STIs without the big wing and with a leather interior, they're called STI Limited or something and I guess they're trying to make the king of boy racers (that's not a derogatory term by the way) into a more grown up mode of transportation I guess. All I'm saying is, if I wanted an STI (which I do, I love them) I want the whole deal, big wing and Recaro buckets et all.

A lot of STi owners like to swap trunks with WRX owners in an attempt to rid themselves of the wing. For some reason some WRX owners want one. If it had Brembos, it was more than likely an STi since the WRX does not have them. Also.....no Recaros for the STi....just for the evo.

Sounds like fun. The s4, aside from the chrome mirror caps and the slightly more aggressive body kit, look just like your typical a4 so you can;t be blamed, especially at night. Was the wrx the new hatchback style or your typical sedan?

Yeah that sounds like an Sti. It is called the Sti Limited. It is an Sti with leather, a sunroof, that pearl white color you described, and a more mild exterior. But it is still a 300hp awd Sti so good run:buttrock
