drowning myself in loneliness ever since you left Mcblur :(

lol it's winter time, not much doing with the bim, she is getting her drop, possible blow off valves and chip in a couple weeks...other than that I'm just trying to get through the last couple months of unbearable law school but I might be moving back to CT...bimmer meets at my place? ;)

didn't you have a chip and diverted valve???

~bimmergirl~

yup :evil2 these would be some serious upgrades...

georgiev

didn't you say that the diverted valve was the way to go though. I think we talked about this at Bav Auto? Wouldn't the BOV just make a cool noise, but give you less gain?

M3vil
02-24-2008, 04:31 PM
depends on the flow of the diverted valve. the BOV's can be an easy gain and sound crazy bad ass, especially with the TT's. but both systems also rely on how fully funtional the entire system is really.

~bimmergirl~
02-24-2008, 05:54 PM
and the BOV hasn't even been made yet, it's being finished now...so we'll see :D

Active Autowerks makes a BOV for the 335 its one of the biggest BOV's i've ever seen. One of the tech's at my work has one on his 335 with the complete active autowerks exhaust. I've driven that thing around and its scary.

Since when has a blow off valve/diverter valve given you gains?:conf All it does is protect the turbo from surging when the throttle plate closes...and gives you a cool sound.

M3vil

at the school we have an integra turbo with the garret g28 setup with 2.75 in. FMIC piping, we had to make a custom diverter valve which was 6 hp 2ftlbs gain. we swapped the custom set up, and a block off plate because of the new hole in the exhaust manifold, for a basic BOV setup. it was 4hp over baseline. so there is SOME gain, but its completely minimal. again the 1.8LT motor is a little smaller than bimmergirls 3.5TT, but still, there is a small gain.

i heard lake bungy meet 2k8 will totally eclipse csp meets......:shifty

how about u just completely seal off the intake pipes b/c i think compressor surge sounds way cooler than bov's:stickoutt

That's probably because you changed the diameter of the piping.

honestly, im not sure. i welded the manifold bung which was where the diverter valve rerouted too as well as cut the plate to cover the DV inlet when we put the BOV setup on. i didn't do any of the measurements, just did the fab work.

I could help with the drop, I have done like 7 sets of springs/struts/shocks this year so far :D

Your car needs to get exhausted.

O RLY?

I might be getting springs/shocks/wheels before the move to CA. Probably after, though.
