Im wondering why the m3 lost ??? could it be the driver or is it normal for a civic eg with a k20a swap to walk an e46 m3... money run. The e46 gets the break and the civic gets the slicks????

Well you are talking about a car that weighs about 2100lb with a motor that probably is putting out close to 230hp to the flywheel (assuming he's at least slightly modded and it probably is if they went through the trouble of doing a motor swap). If the eg has some weight reduction it might weigh as little as 1800lb. So that is somewhere between 9.1-7.8 lb/hp.

A stock e46M3 power to weight is 10.3 lb/hp.

So yeah...it's not surprising that the e46M3 was walked.

yea the civic is gutted out and its fully built all motor setup... street tires vs street tires might make a difference

Doubtful that street tires would make that much of a difference in the outcome with a decent driver. A fully built k20 can easily put down 260-280whp...so pretty much 300hp flywheel.

The driver might have to take it easy getting to full throttle, but he's going to pass that M3 even if the EG spins the wheels.

np...

What's really scary is a fully built K20 turbo'd...just saw one tuned a couple weekends ago in an Integra...580whp on a DynoDynamics (so about 600whp on a DynoJet).

Why not try a K23A1

Lot of torque for a honda engine, and turbo from the factory.

The Acura RDX. And there's no good way to tune it right now.

I lust for that engine. I'd love to pick up a used RDX in a few years.

Ever since that car came out all of the honda kids lust for its nuts. Back when I told my Honda friends that motor was coming in it and it was coming to the dealership in a few weeks, they were waiting like vultures to hear that someone wrecked one playing with their new manavan too hard with its confidence inspiring handling haha.
