at 49,250 miles my service engine soon light came on, is that most likely for the 50k mile service? Thank you!

Look at the panel underneath the steering column. It is on the left side. There is a small hinged cover that snaps off.

and the check engine light has NOTHING to do with the fact that you're up for service. the service indicator tells you when. either the green bars that turn yellow then red, or the mileage countdown that shows right when you first turn the key on.

+1, they are not related.

If you have a friend with an OBDII cade reader or Peake FCX-3 code reader they can pull the codes for you from the ECU port. Most likely you have a sensor of some sort going bad, but you won't know until you read the codes.
