i went to the track the other day after i put in the wokke and ran a 15.3, i was just wondering if anyone else had ran, and what was your best time

My best time was 12.219 @ 114.42 MPH

But mine is a 6L & 6MT with a bunch of other goodies.

I was wondering how long it would be before you answered this one!

11.62 @ 126.18mph

5.6 liter - 6 speed - no special goodies

Not with that ET, and especialy the MPH. that car weight is over 4,000lbs LOL.

I wouldn't attempt that in an 8 because that isn't what the car was designed for (4,000 lb+ weight is the first clue), plus the Z06 cost far less than trying to seriously modify an 8. (Corvette sounds meaner too at wide open throttle...)

I am guessing his Z06. That car is soo much lighter than the 8. The critical mass comes into play the first 60', 90' and that is a huge advantage.

3,100 lbs does make quite a difference ( that would be 1/2 ton lighter than an 850)...

I know what you mean. My scale weight at the strip was 3988 lbs for that day (No Spare, No Jack, No Tools, Subwoffer out, ¼ tank gas, rear seat bottom out).
