Truck merged into me today on Mass Pike & I hit the guard rail for left AND right lane. This is my daily commuter -120 miles per day round trip. Acura TL (Honda) was rock solid & only needed oil changes & scheduled maint. Now the big question is what should I get as a daily commuter? Like to stay in the 20K range. Sedan preferred, but not required.

few ?'s... Manual or auto? German only or anything?
Also why is it that you are asking on a BMW forum and only one member suggested a BMW? e34's are really nice too & can be had in 5spd or auto

a) Glad you're ok. Sounds like you did the pinball thing.
b) Maybe a Mini? I've never owned one, but they are fun to drive and I'd guess not bad in the snow with skinny snow tires. Otherwise, an E36 M3 would be a comfortable choice, and fun too. A E36 non-M might be better (softer suspension / better gas mileage).

I am open to manual or auto - pending the car. I was possibly thinking a '02 540 6 speed or maybe another TL (auto). However, I figured I would see what other suggestions might be out there & "free my mind."
