View Full Version : Grey scale ///M emblem
ares0311 02-22-2008, 11:55 AM So last night I was browsing my Bavauto catalog and saw this grey scale overlay and thought, f@#king sweet, I want one. I know, I know I get overly excited very easy... it puts quite the strain on relationships. But anyway back to my story. I need a new badge anyway and this could look cool, so I get to work this morning and go to bavauto.com (free plug) and couldn't find it right away so I did a search. 1-1 results returned, it came right up I was shaking I was so excited, luckily I got my wits about me and read the description before making a fool-hearty purchase...
///M Emblem Black-Out Kit - Includes one overlay This vinyl overlay gives the Motorsport "///M" emblem a grey-scale look - white, grey, and black. The kit consists of one vinyl overlay that is adhered over your existing emblem. Please note these will not fit any M3's.
What the?! Will not fit any M3's? :shifty All my dreams down the drain, now I know how American Idol contestants feel when they get kicked off stage. Maybe I'll paint my faded one and see how that turns out.
A4Driver 02-22-2008, 12:33 PM Ha ha ha ha! I know your pain bro! While working there...I would get calls all the time about those damned stickers...even I was going to rock it if they fit.
I have no idea why they just don't make them for M3's. Dumb.

Dude, it'll fit you just have to cut it down a little. My dad used to have one on his E46. It looks cool, but I don't see the point of it unless they come out with the grey emblems for the whole car. On the wheels, steering wheel, door sills, etc.

hhhmmmm... I like your style. I never even thought of the door sills, the wheels have the BBS centers so those are gray already. But the door sills would be tricky. If the overlay cuts down then that would be excellent, but now I want the door sills too.

It would look sick if you could get every emblem on the car grey, but the sills would definitely be the hardest part, you'd probably have to get it custom.

They also have lots of other gray scale M badges, for wheels, side grills, etc.

Outstanding. Thanks for the heads up, I'll check this out shortly.
