So tonight I met up with a few buddies, and decided to run my friend's SRT-4. He has all the supporting mods for a big turbo, and a 60 trim (T3/T4) @ 20psi. We were both on pump gas and I was on 12psi. My car dyno'd 410whp at 14psi, his is unknown but should be higher at 20psi.

Anyways, we did a couple of runs.

30 roll -> 3 honks and I was already spooled basically, so I took off like a rocket. Pulled a good 1.5 cars in 2nd, and put another 2 on him in 3rd and some of 4th.

40 roll -> 3 honks, and this time it was a bit closer. I only pulled about 1 car becuase I had to shift so fast, but then picked up the room and ended about 2.5 cars ahead by 110.

In the end, I was pretty happy with the results. If we went from a dig it would have been a complete slaughter, and I can't wait to run the car at the track. I can launch well now with little wheel spin and hopefully can pull some good times on street tires!

Here is link to video: I missed 3rd in the 1st run tahts why he gained ground but obviously pulled past him. He did miss also I believe, but not as bad as I did!

Good kill. Pretty good write up too. Haven't seen anything good in AWHILE.

I thought with a TT stage 2 and a GT35R, you should be putting down around 500rwhp on pump gas?

BTW, when do you get full spool as compared to the original turbo the kit comes with?

Maybe 500whp with more boost, but I am only running 12lbs daily and 14lbs is the "high boost" setting. I plan to build the bottom end and shoot for 600whp over the summer anyway.

And I get full boost at roughly 3200rpms.

Ah I see. If you run over 14 psi on pump gas, are you getting preignition or something?

Wow, 3200 for full spool, that's really good considering the stock kit turbo also spools at 3200. Do you have another other mods other than the turbo kit??

How much did it cost you for the kit+tunning?

The kit is a Technique tuning stage 2 w/ the GT35r upgrade. I think they are going for ~$8k now. Not positive on that.

Good kill. Odd that you won though... SRT with a 50trim should put down 400-450whp, dunno what a 60trim can do.
