My wife purchased a preowned 2004 X3. Afterwards we noticed that it did not have cruise control. It does have heated seats. Go figure that one out. Does BMW offer something that can be installed for Cruise Control? We never even thought of checking if it had it. Some things you just take for granted.

I've never heard of one coming without cruise. I thought it was standard. And there are no separate cruise modules any more, it's done by the DME. Are you sure you don't have it? should be the stalk behind the steering wheel either below the blinker stalk, or below the wiper stalk.
