I read that you have to get the sport pkg to get the higher top end and oil cooler. Is this a fact? Does anybody really know?

Yes. Someone knows the answer to this question.

That person is not me, but I'm going to offer my best guess. Yes, all 135i's come with the oil cooler.

I saw one saturday, it does come with an oil cooler, on the passenger side in the wheelwell. Thats why there are no foglights, where the air comes into it.

Since you saw one already, can you tell me anything about the back seat? My main concern is being able to have grown ups in theback seat.....how does the back seat compares to the E36 coupe? Thanks in advance

I have not seen one, but I seriously doubt you'll be able to put them back there more than once.

Sorry JD 6SPEED, I didn't mean to hijack your thread.

Frogger:
I know is going to be tight, but the old 2002 had a lot of space in the rear seat. I had an '04 Mini Cooper S and I could not even get my kids back there. If the rear seat of the 1 is not usable, I'll be very dissapointed.

Back to you JD 6SPEED......I hope you have good news.

I am 6'1" and weigh about 190# I was able to fit in the backseat, my head was touching the roof but not bad. When I sat in the front seat I had to move it further towards the front to be able to engage the clutch 100%, and I think the back seats would be fine for 2-6 footers, but not on a long trip. I see no reason to worry. I was also VERY impressed with the adjustability and comfort of the sport seats without the power option. I won't pay $995 for something I believe isn't needed. Those were the best seats I have sat in. I loved my 2007 Acura TL-S power drivers seat, but the 135i seat adjusted absolutely perfect. WOW, AWESOME.

Wow!!! That's good news. I'm torn between the 135 and the 335. I was thinking on an E46 M3 convertible, but that lasted about two weeks. The fact that I can get the 135 with the coral red interior is very important to me. The the edge right now is going to the 135 :D

I thought I read in roundel that they did not have oil coolers and that was one of the complaints after running them around the track. This was a while ago I think though. I might be wrong. I usually am :)
